PM Skerrit among CARICOM prime ministers on a visit to Guyana

Mottley (top). Bottom: (l-r) Skerrit, Gonsalves, Mitchell

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit is among four CARICOM heads of government on a two-day mission to Guyana which begins today.

CARICOM Chairman and prime minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, is leading the delegation which also includes Prime Ministers Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines and Keith Mitchell of Grenada.

In an effort to ease tension in the country and assist in arriving at a resolution to the impasse that resulted from last Monday’s general elections, the delegation will meet with the leadership of all parties that contested the poll.

Additionally, the CARICOM heads will meet with representatives of the Commonwealth, Organisation of American States, European Union and Carter Centre observer missions that were in the country to monitor the conduct of the elections.

One must remember Mr. or rather the Honorable Linton had traveled to Guyana to seek to articulate the concerns we Dominicans had over the decaying governance practices in Dominica including the need for electoral reform. Those same so called leaders literally dismissed him as being irrelevant. I hope the parties in Guyana treat them with their own medicine. Damn hypocrites they are!!1

I hope the people of Guyana kick that lot out of their country. The phrase putting the fox in charge of the fowl house comes to mind!

The Hungry HYENA gang. They are the same ones that wrote the book on unfair elections. “How to rig and steal a Caribbean election and Get Away”. Now they going to Guyana to pretend they can ‘fix’ it.

Why is skerrit and the boys club there. Isn’t that the same boys club that brought soldiers to Dominica to kill Dominicans who were fighting for free and fair elections.

So that is how we come? Like mumu?
Skerrit is on a peace mission to facilitate fair and free elections?
If somebody else told me this information, I would think they were joking.

However, Skerrit and his henchmen are going there on another mission: oil.

Damn blasted hypocrites, and yet is Dominicans just staying there in their passive nonsense and calling Matt.

So what on earth is Skerrit doing there, in Guyana? Has he got anything of substance to offer these people on the matter of good governance or he just left for the ride. We were always advised and strongly told that we must clean our dirty, corrupted backyard first before we go far places to clean up others dirty mess.
Our people are suffering, no agriculture, no bananas, no boats off to UK with our bananas and other crops, and this failed Skerrit rather than taking a trip to the rural Villages to fix their Abandoned agricultural business create by Skerrit`s failed Labour Government, he is off to Guyana to take care of other peoples business. This man must get his priority right. Skerrit must “Go To Hell…Go to Hell, it is our damn business”. , and you have to fix it and account for it. We need answers. You are a failure. We need decent and professional people to manage our government. Skerrit must “Go to Hell….Get out” of our government. You and your DLP clowns have failed…

Since Guyana is closer to the US than Dominica, I urge Skerrit to make a stop in any of the US States. When last was he in the US?

I would advise Mr Skerrit to put his own house in order first before intervening in the Guiana dispute as wise counsel. I am referring, of course the petition by our opposition, challenging the outcome of the Dec. 6 election of last year, which is now before the court and needs to be addressed urgently. As much as he wants to play Solomon in Guiana he cannot be a Pontius Pilate in his own country by claiming that the petition is not his responsibility but that of the judiciary. I refuse to believe that he has no influence in our own affair.

Read about the comments made about a pm from a country, had they think he was not good enough, they would not have invited him. All the comments indicate that you all were brought up in a one bedroom house, with no respect or manners, ample time you all grew out of that.Act sensibly and responsibly. There should be a charge for making insulting comments.

      @Dominican

You make mention of a country called Guiana. I hope you realize that this is not the same country called Guyana.

They are two distinctly different countries in South America. A simple google search will share some light on this for you.

Look it, the biggest election cheater of all times goes to another country in order to ease tensions in regards to the recent election. Boy, what hypocrisy. This guy has not an ounce of shame in his entire body. No doubt he will recommend for their sitting PM to fill envelopes with dollars and distribute them amongst the opposing parties and voters. After all, it always worked in his country together with some minor adjustments to the final counting of votes.

My one request to Guyanese is that they take good care of Roosevelt Skerrit for us. Just take him to a mountain and give him some pure water for us, until he can take no more.

I wish those Guyanese would note these CARICOM leaders that trying to interfere in their election, and deal with them with
respect. I hope they don’t allow them to intervene in their election like they were allowed to intervene in our election

I guess Dominica too small for Roosevelt Skerrit. But also remember Guiana And Dominica sign an agreement with Russia and Grenada with a Russian company to explore their gas and oil. As far as I know China also have a joint interest in this with Russia. So I guess that is really where the common interest lies. Dominica would be a central point if not for refining than certainly as a bunker and transshipment point in the Chinese belt and braces project. By the way, where is Francine Baron hiding. Is she that sign the agreement with the Russians but she is nowhere to be seen or heard these days.

    “Cinderella and the three stogies”

CARICOM is one big joke. The blind leading the blind, the dumb teaching people to talk and the deaf trying teach music. If that is the standard we have the Caribbean ain’t going anywhere soon and all that oil discovered in Guyana is just going to end up in corruption by politicians.
