The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) informs the general public that escaped prisoner Christon Tavernier of Kingshill has been captured by the police.
According to reports from Police Inspector Fixton Henderson, Christon who is serving a 3-year sentence at the Dominica State Prison for the offenses of wounding and theft escaped from the prison at about noon on Saturday, January 20, 2024, and has since been pursued by the police.
Henderson stated that on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at about 3 p.m. Tavernier was met and apprehended in Jimmit by the Mahaut police and returned to the Dominica State Prison.
The CDPF thanked the general public for any assistance rendered.
