On day nine of the ongoing search for 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne who was abducted from her home on the night of June 7, 2022, police have confirmed reports of the sighting of her abductor Keyan Alexander.
According to information received from several police sources, Dominica News Online (DNO) was told that on the afternoon of June 16, Alexander was spotted by four civilians in the bushes somewhere on the west coast of the island.
The men attempted to apprehend Alexander but during a scuffle, he managed to escape.
They gave chase but the abductor evaded their pursuit and has not been seen since.
Police sources disclosed to DNO that during yesterday’s brief sighting, 12-year-old Etienne was not spotted with Alexander.
Further information revealed that Alexander appeared to have been camping for some time in the area where he was last seen.
However, despite an extensive search carried by the police at the location and surrounding areas, Alexander and Etienne’s whereabouts are unknown as of today.
Over a week ago, Etienne was abducted from her home by Alexander who the police labelled as a “lunatic.”
During the offense, Alexander, who’s from Belles, went to the home of his uncle, Laurent Joseph Bruno, and attacked him with a cutlass inflicting serious wounds to his head and face.
Thereafter, he abducted Etienne, the adopted daughter of Bruno, and disappeared with her into the bushes of Warner.
Scores of citizens have joined the police in their search for the minor and the assailant.
N.B: The police have requested that certain information not be revealed so as not to compromise their search.
Because he never had her to begin with. When you inject thoughts, images and situations in the mind of a mentally challenged person ot becomes their reality. He was running from the ghosts that were projected to him the day this fiasco began.
Who ever sees him should leave him and call the police, but not to lose him of sight. Other words keep on tracking his movements smartly until the police arrive.

Some people may say I am cold hearted or the prophet of doom. But, it would be a miracle if that child is still alive. Abductees do not like to be held back when on the run. The abductee becomes a liability to them so they either kill them or tie them in hard to find places.
As far as I am concerned, the entire police command structure and departments needs to change along everybody above the rank of superintendent with minister of national security. Fire them for this massive failure! The current force structure along with departments are old and has served its time. We need a force with departments that reflect our local scene. In particular we need a well equipped search and rescue unit with drones, dogs, snipers headed by an ASP. According to former Supt and chief instructor Philsbert Alfred; policing is a local thing and must be structured to serve the local community accordingly.

That amount would leave the Morne Daniel palace in arrears of 1 month. Everyone is out there looking and Skerrit has requested that all abled body person to be engaged in the search. Has he requested anyone to search for that $4.2 billion that he hung out on his money line to dry?

It makes absolutely no sense to try and catch this individual and the Citizens were warned not to do so. All they had to do was report his sightings to the authorities and this is where the dogs would have been very helpful because they have his scent. In this general area the dog would have picked up a fresh scent and be on his trail. The girl is still alive and unhurt being kept in an area whilst he go out and seek food and other things for them. She is still Alive, He survived 6 months in the bush it means therefore that he has the wherewithal to do it again. One of the things among other things, I can’t believe the police do not have a K9 unit especially in that type of forest and thick vegetation, absolutely unheard of. This is one of the units that is added all over the world especially because of drugs and kidnappings, 2022? Unbelievable. Anyways he will soon be caught and be brought to Justice, spending his life behind bars in an institution meant only for the criminally insane

Dominicans quick to talk about police incompetent, when it’s logical that the police can’t and will not give out alot of infomation of what they’re doing to the public. Are the police telling us that just like Skerrit they feel to weak too unprofessional to keep a daily briefing so the people of Dominica could have better idea of what is happening?
In 2022 the police should have a professional reporter that could brief the country without tampering wit evidence.
Man Skerrit has enough passport money forming the fool with for the state not to be equipped with at least 2 helicopters and at least 2 k-9 dogs to help police in times like these, especially with Erika and Maria and the kind of stuff taking place in the country these days. I mean since around 12:30 yesterday this guy was spotted and they informed the police. But with us not having helicopters or canine dogs to track down this guy the man made good his escape. I’m trying desperately hard to think that Kenosha but each day that goes by the chances of her being alive wane. Despite this, let’s continue to keep hope alive. God still works miracles.
She will, hopefully, be able to tell her story without a bunch of people judging her.
I find it distressing that with all the resources of the govt , that they can’t catch this guy, even after being seen by four people who couldn’t apprehend him. Further more, the govt or police should have coached civilians on what to do if he is sighted and they should have been given walkie talkies if they were part of the search and told to monitor his whereabouts as they call for backup. There is alot of incompetence here to go around.
