The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is investigating the death of Karlyn Langridge, a 28-year-old female from British Columbia, Canada, who died while rappelling the Trafalgar Falls.
According to Inspector of Police, Fixton Henderson, on Thursday 28 December, 2023, Langridge and her 27-year-old boyfriend also from British Columbia, Canada, were canyoning in the Roseau Valley area sometime about 1:30 p.m., when the incident occurred.
“Karlyn was rappelling a waterfall at Trafalgar when she became unresponsive. She was assisted by local tour guides and the first responders of the fire and ambulance services at the scene. However, she remained unresponsive,” Henderson revealed.
The 28-year-old was subsequently transported to the emergency department of a Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) where she was examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
“The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force investigates this fatal incident and expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased Karlyn Langridge of Canada,” Henderson stated.
Yes but I hope you realized that DNO quoted the inspector of police Fixton Henderson . So DNO cannot rewrite the story because no matter how it is written or rewritten, inspector of police Fixton Henderson that said “
“Karlyn was rappelling a waterfall at Trafalgar when she became unresponsive…”
What I would like to add to this story is, another Canadian dying a strange death in Dominica again and the police report is again unclear? That reminds me of the Canadian couple that were murdered in Soufriere last month and those workers of iniquity trying to play baseball with the investigation
Zandoli in reference to your submission of “December 30, 2023.”
I suspect you might be thinking of foul play: that’s possible; nevertheless, there could also be some medical condition which caused her death.
Abseiling up, or down a steep slope, pole, or mountain can indeed cause fright; (anxiety ) which may lead to death.
I am not advocating that is her cause of death, nevertheless; most people with anxiety disorders have inappropriate high and low (ups and downs) which can definitely cause high blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbances, or heart attack; which can cause instant death!
Then whereas we are all vulnerable to death, this could well be her hour!
just like that she became unresponsive . what f..kery is that .
Just like that, she became unresponsive? There has to be more to the story, even in the absence of an autopsy.
The way the story reads, she was rappelling down the down the falls and her body went limp on the way down. We are talking about a 28 year old person.
What kind of report is this? She cannot die while rappling but rather from a rappling accident if I am to to read between the lines. Please rewrite this news brief to make more sense.
Sad indeed! Deepest sympathy to the fail and friends who are left to mourn.
The life you have left is a gift. Cherish it. Enjoy it now, to the fullest.
