Dominica Labour Party (DLP) Senator Dayton Baptiste has responded to claims by the Marigot Constituency Association of the DLP that he lacks proper representation skills.
Harold Tyson has lashed out at the new DLP Senator for what he described as bad representation.
But Baptiste said the allegations leveled against him by the Association are untrue.
“I am opened for a meeting to discuss the matter because this is untrue. Tyson is the one making all the trouble. The entire constituency does not feel the same,” he added.
Baptiste said it is time that all the bickering stops in the best interest of the people and the constituency.
“I am willing to meet to resolved this matter because it is not healthy for me and Marigot,” he stated.

Who say the other parties does not have problems? They don’t come out on TV but they have major problems all now.
This is clearly an inhouse matter of the Labour party which should have been dealt with within the party. It seems the hierarchy of the party did not take Tyson’s complaints seriously. It is a shame that this had to be aired out in public like that!!
I was very surprised to have read this totally unlike the Dayton Baptiste I know. Mr. baptiste u gonna have these things happen all the time obviously people claims and or objections means something and I have no problem with that and they are entitled to their own opinion. The Prime Minister cannot always make perfect decisions it is not an easy job u can’t please everybody, hence the reason for advisors and it must be about the Country and it’s people first than about someone’s self.
You gave 20 plus years with distinction to the people of Antigua in it’s Police Service and have helped so many people in the community u lived and so many people can attest to that. I have no doubt u will try and do even more for your own people it’s not gonna be easy and it is going to take some time. I am advising u to meet with your district and the folks there and sort those issues that needs to be addressed and let the community know the outcome, weekly bi or monthly meetings please. Too many times we are laka-a-daisical and take things for granted and it comes back and bite us, u know where or its too late’to be dealt with.
This is one of the Major problems about the Labour parties in the regions too many internal issues and I always wonder why the other parties seems to get along much better. It’s unity and putting Country and people first. I am sure there is a lot of things that needs to be done in Marigot for the people it is a great and diverse community it’s people are mostly united and very serious about their affairs.
My Tyson please continue to put your community and the people business in front and let’s move on, Get the people work done, do your bickering internally, please knock each other heads and come to a consensus, time is short. The Government has been given a mandate and there is a lot of work to be done for the people and the Country. Dominica has so much going for it at this time and needs not to become complacent but to take those opportunities to higher heights. All the best to you Dayton and your team, remember people first.

Is it so hard to understand that M’got is a forgotten village so do you believe that Baptiste or Tyson can dictated to someone who have not good in his heart for that part of D’ica or could say to him (PM) and DPL we need you to fix our roads our hospital our playing field or jobs for the young people and they will run comming let’s not fool ourselves, Yes we should keep on pushing and hopping for change not only for the village but for the attitude of those we put in power.
This is why Mr Baptiste responded, to set the record straight. I am reading through this young man Tyson it seems that he wanted to be the Senator. Where is all this coming from? If you have a problem with the man style of representation call a forum and discuss it. These days we like to be on TV. Maybe there is a prize for the most apperance of TV.
That’s what democracy is about, people have a right to bicker but you can prove them wrong though.

Dayton is a pompous man….if what his ppl saying is untrue then ask him what was his response to the youths of Marigot when we wanted to have a debate between him and Mr. James before the elections? That man never showed up, tuned off his phone and never apologized to the ppl of Marigot who sat there waiting for him that night. He willing to meet with the ppl…LIE THAT!
