Casius Darroux will be the next candidate for the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) in the Salybia constituency at the next general election.
The constituency association met on Wednesday evening to select the next candidate,to replace outgoing MP, Ashton Graneau.

Frederick received 12 votes.
Darroux will now face the United Workers Party’s Claudius Sanford at the polls.

In an earlier interview with DNO, he said his candidacy will be based on inclusion.
“It’s not a matter of me deciding something and dictating it to the people of what I want,” he said. ““I would have to bring all groups together and tell them ‘OK this is my idea, what else can we add to it?’”
The Salybia Constituency consists of the Kalinago Territory, Atkinson, Antrizle and sections of Concord.
The next general election is constitutionally due in 2015.
