The board of directors of the DAIC met to discuss the recent resignations of three of its members.
The resignations were accepted with regret.
As with any group, there will always be diversity of opinion however, at all times, majority
decisions must prevail and the board firmly believes that its recent press statement reflects the consensus of the overwhelming majority of board members and the general membership of the association.

So three board memberrs resigned. Who are these former board members? If we knew the story there would not heve been a need to publish it.
Tell us their reason for resigning.

what is the daic really trying to say? some executive members resigned , and the reasons reported seemed vague , it is largely felt that they did so because of the press statement re; jerry brisabane.you see , daic we live in a small community and people talk , so the unofficial reasons are , thought to be the great disparity between some members and in particular those that resigned. it was uofficially said that yvor nasseif was frothing at the mouth , with his anti jerry rhetoric , and francis emanuel could hardly contain himself , so the perception for want of a better word or maybe the reality is , this organisation is deeply polarised , and infested and infected by politics
The thing is this has long stopped being about Skerrit and the Labour Party. It is all about Dominicans, not just in dominica, but in general. You see, it is the same country which has bred child abuse because many many women have decided that if a man is the breadwinner, they would rather prostitute the child than turn away a good package. ANd funnily enough it is women, young, middle aged and definitely older who have mainly helped this group into power and keep them there.
It is women who in the main sit and say leave the boy alone, he so nice. It is the same sentiment they give when someone they like is accused of rape, or child abuse or incest. They are the ones who so often decline to witness, decline to testify, and deny deny. This is why we have a nation full of low self esteem women who consider someone who pays their way as worthy of their respect.
We call it bom. And Skerrit has made plenty bom with the country. he recognises that dominicans generally dont care about corruption once they getting a piece.
It really doesnt matter how much roads and development this govt is bringing, at the end of the day, if they are thieves and vagabonds they should be rejected, but this isnt how dominicans operate.
In Mexico there was a story this week of a drug lord who was worshipped by a district because he looked after them. So it isnt a Dominica only situation. The situation exists. Its just that, as Hunter sings in his typical dominican, if they like you, you could burn someone in a house in front of them and it wouldnt matter. ANd if they dont ? well crapaud smoke your pipe. no mater how good they are.
So lets not pretend this is about issues. Many of the people who want skerritt to remain, whether they be a likkle fat web designer or a big shot business boss who all link their pay packet to skerro being there, do not give one rats ass about corruption etc. they just want to eat.
If people were honest and say so things would be alot simpler, and arguments would end quicker. but they still want to deny. the daic boss is jenny astaphan, tonys sister. end of story. most of the churches, pastors and bishop, are all being massaged with cash. so they stay silent. business community ? when govt is the biggest distributor of contracts, staying silent is survival.the bigger players are bathing in this economy and getting richer whilst in general people are getting poorer. they love skerro.
So who do you expect to speak ?
Its not a crisis. Its an undressing of a nation. This is who allyuh are. Makin bom and making excuses about it and pretending otherwise.

Them playing politcs. There bread well butter already. So we poor people have to come and beg to them for jobs, food etc, so they cutting their style. But we people not stupid we all know their political sides. Read the newspaper articles. Examine the three who left.
