Hip Hop star challenges omission from presidential race

Wyclef Jean

PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti, CMC – The hip hop star, Wyclef Jean, disqualified from contesting the November 28 presidential elections is going to the National Electoral Dispute office on Monday in a bid to overturn the decision by the Provisional Electoral Commission (CEP).

He said he had a document “which shows everything is correct” and that he and his aides “feel that what is going on here has everything to do with Haitian politics.

“They are trying to keep us out of the race,” he said, referring to Haiti’s political establishment.

The CEP over the weekend disqualified Jean and 14 others, while it approved 19 candidates without providing justification for the decisions.

LOOK HERE!!! The Haitian Government established mr Jean as an Ambassador to Haiti. With that title he is obligated to travel the world even live outside of Haiti. He is a Haitian Citizen born and raised there.. He has a point and a right to fight back at them. Even the Haitians in the Embassy in other countries can vote. T he man has a rignt.

Haiti has been given a great break with the relief of its debts and with all the money that’s promised, the leaders on this country stand to handle a lot of money where mere scraps may be in the millions. Some of these candidates may have good intentions, but if that’s true, then some don’t. Haiti is in need of God’s blessing even more now that during the quacks as the future of politics and life there starts to unravel and true colors are shown.
If an actor can become governor or even president of the United States, why can’t a rapper / hiphop star be president of Haiti.
    We’ll see what happens.
    Stay tuned.

    LOL.
