Research company releases results of political survey in Roseau South Constituency

Delroy Pierre is the general manager and chief analyst of ‘Data Driven’

Forty-three percent of 350 registered voters surveyed in the Roseau South Constituency believe Dominica is heading in the right direction while 28 percent are unsure of the country’s direction.

These are the results of a survey conducted by local company ‘Data Driven’ over a period of two weeks beginning in July.

The results of the survey were released on Friday by general manager and chief analyst of the company, Delroy Pierre.

According to him, based on data collected, more voters feel that their situation has improved and believe that the country is moving in the right direction.

He said the survey revealed that 73 percent of Dominica Labor Party (DLP) supporters felt that the country was heading in the right direction while 11 percent of United Workers Party (UWP) supporters shared the same view.

In terms of the improvement of their life situation, 45 percent believe it has improved, 28 percent say it remains the same, while 27 percent think it had gotten worst.

“Twenty-five percent of UWP voters felt that their situation was better than it was five years ago as compared to 66 percent of DLP voters who believed that their situation is better,” Pierre noted. “This is compared to 53 percent of UWP voters who felt that their situation is worse and only five percent Labor party voters believed that their situation is worse.”

Pierre added that the leader of the parties is another major influence on voters’ choice, based on the survey.

“When we asked Labor Party voters who do they believe is a better leader, 99 percent of Labor Party voters believed that the leader of the Labor Party is a better leader, as compared to 72 percent of the UWP people who believed that their leader is a better leader,” he noted.

Pierre remarked that based on the data, if voters decided to vote for the DLP in the Roseau South constituency, it might be that they are voting because of the strength of the leadership as compared to the strength of the candidate contesting that constituency.

He noted that the Roseau South constituency was chosen for the survey because it does not have “a clear cut winner.”

The constituency is being contested by Ambrose George for the DLP and Joshua Francis for the UWP.

He also stated one of the main problems in Dominica is the lack of data in political discourse.

“Most of the discussions are not supported by data,” Pierre remarked. “Consequently, there is a need for data particularly in the political sphere that can guide proper discussion and direct proper understanding of the matter. The objective was to collect and present independent data.”

Data Driven describes itself as “a locally registered research company specializing in designing, analyzing and interpreting of information about specified target groups or markets.”

PS by me needing to go to night school will not change the 18-3 results so by you being insultive will get you know where. This is the most confusing survey I have come across in a while. Sir, with this piece of letters and numbers (can’t call or consider this data or information), you have just allow your credibility to be washed down the gutter; it has just proven that you are “singing for your supper”. After this piece of rubbish… it seems life will be indeed be improved for you.

I just have a few questions as it pertains to the survey…what was teh age demographics of the people surveyed, what is the magin of error and what part of the Roseau South was sampled ? I think these are a few areas Mr. Pierre could have addressed as well.

@lizavier4Jesus, do not be lazy for Jesus and do not be carried away by lipsticks and jackets. It may not b a reflection of a blooming economy. There is a high percentage of young and able people not employed and yet they dress better than you and some have vehicles extra and one wonders where the money is coming from; but survey shows that a great majority are resorting to stealing, drugs, prostitution and illegal activities. ICo, it is fair that you look at the wider picture.
Do the maths, the cost of living, the taxes and the like. before you blurt. One more thing, ALWAYS write Jesus with a capital J. Show repect for his most Holy Name.

Really Mr. Pierre? “Most of the discussions are not supported by data,” Pierre remarked. “Consequently, there is a need for data particularly in the political sphere that can guide proper discussion and direct proper understanding of the matter. The objective was to collect and present independent data.” Ok then wait for the data. What is this supported with.? Man, give me something good to read that makes sense. Not all Dominicans are illiterate, uneducated and so gullible. Is this supposed to scare someone? Well not me. I’m not red or blue but this definitey has a red slant. I’m not in DA and I expect that when I sign onto DNO I get good information about the country. Thank you.

    delroy,
come on….are you really submitted such unstatistical data….and the presentations……is questionable
if Dominica data is so unavailable, please tell me why 100 of your result isn’t a surprise?

here is a simple question for you your sample need; what are the drivers for growth for the voters in Roseau south that cause their situation to be better ? especially labor party supporters?
more questions for you? on what is Dominica’s economy sustaining itself, if it is a sustainable economy? what is our income driven producer? ask your sample voters if they know the development plan for Dominica in the various sector to have a discuss?

come on Delroy, their are still a few strategies around.

I always believe that the only poll results that matter are those declared as confirmed and final by the Chief Electoral Officer.

Having said this, the reactions below are predictable. DLP supporters have reasons to cheer because their man has triumphed in Roseau South in the last elections, even amidst an unrelenting and blistering attack from the UWPwee. Unfortunately for the UWPwee, it is stuck in lalaland, ceaselessly refusing to admit what is real. This incapacity to accept reality we see it embedded in the DNA of the UWP (see its reactions to election results, courts cases, and investigations that do not go its way).

What is worse for the blues though is the false hope that the party continues to give its supporters. From the start, Eddo told his followers “fear no more” because once they had taken over from Mamo in 1995 all victimization would have stopped. That did not turn out to be correct. They promised banana farmers a ridiculous price of $1 per pound for bananas, but that too, was unsustainable and it fell apart. They promised “boots on the ground”, never to recognize the authority of Aliz Boyds-Knight or Chalres Savarin, etc, etc. Today, Team Dunce (with permission, Tony) promises results that only a deluded team or a wizard can conjure. Yet…..we know the reality. The incredulity of the blue vex supporters here is therefore, very understandable. They have been conditioned to believe in unicorns (myths) and reject reality.

Yet, Labourites cannot be complacent. Ambrose is a wounded and old warrior. He has known his heyday. He is simply stubbornly holding on to something that he should have given up since who-knows-when. Even among Labourites, he is not a very popular choice for Roseau South simply because he seems disconnected from so many constituents. Besides, the sheer magnitude of the challenges in that constituency makes it one of the most difficult to manage in Dominica. So, the only results that matter are those from the election poll. Go out to vote.

We have a saying:”don’t shoot the messenger”, which implies that we should listen to the message instead. However, this does not always apply. In this case. “Data Driven” is claimed to be a local company. However, it is not listed anywhere in Dominica and the only contact reference is a local mobile telephone number. 317 3684. It turns out that mr. Delroy Pierre is a resident of St. Maarten, mobile tel. no. 523 5742 and connected to the Community Tutoring Foundation there ( in Cul-de Sac),…or at least he WAS, where he also promotes himself under the label of “consulting business service” and boasts about his Chinese/Caribbean connections. `there is a website: http://www..datadriveninfo.com, which is constructed using the Vistaprint builder, which is however incomplete and does not go into details when the “read more” fields are pressed.
For an educationalist mr. Pierre appears to be lacking in basic grammar when he uses “guage”, instead of “gauge”
twice in the headline of his incomplete website.
In short, it would appear we are dealing here with an individual, rather than an an enterprise, who is desperate to make an impact on the local scene.and his message should be read in this context.

Mr Telemaque, the lady spoke her mind, you could just give her a thumbs down, there was no need to criticize her. Dominica is democratic, I don’t see why she cannot give her comment as a Dominican. We say that Dominica is going nowhere, but what are we doing about that. Why don’t you do something in your community when you have the chance, so the youth in your community will see that you care about them. We can all speak our minds about what is not right, but we also have to do our share in our community. Stop insulting people one day and when something happens to them, we start seeing their good side. Life is short, very short, so let us start doing instead of criticizing everybody who we disagree with. Suggest a positive solution minus insults.

    • Francisco Telemaqe
      July 21, 2014

You know; I did not actually criticize the person you know; I simply thought she/he may have looked at it as if I suggested that Ambrose will be victorious. Hence, I thought of doing some clarification on the subject. Let me reiterate that Delroy has no actual clue as to what he is talking about.

I suspect people like him are paid by the government to distort the truth in the government favor. Anybody in Dominica today who make the claim that life has become better for them under this administration, may only make such claims in fear that if they do not lie to support the government they or some family benefactor of something from the government will lose whatever they are benefiting.

Secondly, those who claim their life is better off now than twenty-four, or twenty-five thirty years ago may be living off the politicians such as the prime minister as a parasites.

These days there are lots of Labor Party parasites in the country, they fear to complain, because if the host on which they live finds out they have spoken out against their host politician, and the government their source of survival will be cut off.

That is a strange, and hard way to exists in this life!

I am not a politician and am not for either party, but certain things makes me sad. When I saw the condition that some of the elderly and those who have a disability are living it hurt my heart. Progress is when this people are taken care of. Progress is when a better healthcare system is in place, Progress is when our hospitals and nursing homes are up to date and highly facilitated. Progress is when the elderly and those with a disability is taken care off. Not some but all. I know what am talking about because I saw with my two eyes their condition. The thing that hurt me the most is when I see people who can’t help themselves and no one really cares about them. A system should be setup in every village, have someone in charge and see to it everyone of this people is taken care of. I know for a fact there are the elderly and those with a disability who goes to bed hungry. Many times the most high God send a good Samaritan to take care of them. Progress is when our city streets are being clean. Progress is when the road from the airport is being taken care of. The first impressions are lasting ones .when the brain stores some thing it last for a very long time. Progress is when jobs can be created for this young people who completed college. Don’t get me wrong I know some progress have been made, but the number one form of progress should be in the healthcare system. Many people want to come and retire in DA you know what the first thing they search on the web is our healthcare system. They change their minds because of that. Don’t get me wrong I love DA, but am just stating the facts. I thing a survey should be conducted saying DA is trying to make progress. Its not there yet once you don’t have a good hospital and healthcare system.

    • Gary
      July 22, 2014

You are entitled to express your feelings as to what progress means to you but it does not carry the same meaning for everyone. Why would you believe that real progress in Dominica should be solely judged on having a good Hospital and Health care system, it is such a narrow view and general statement to define progress in your Country without comprehending socioeconomic realities regarding the
true meaning of the phrase “Health care system” not only in Dominica but globally.

  20. D exposer
    July 20, 2014

I don’t believe that there is to much progress in DA. I believe he should return to live in DA to see the how hard it is in DA. One of the progress I se is people are living above their means. I cannot live there cost of living is to high. I went to the grocery store in the city (Roseau) I told myself how this guys survive. When I saw the condition of the hospital I wanted to cry I could not believe that’s how the place look. I prayed to God that he would take care of me on the Island. The healthcare system should be the number one priority in any country that you live in. Progress is when you have a good health facility to take care of your people. The same people who are conducting surveys and saying the country is progressing how many of them return to live in Dominica none. They would run back the same day when they start experiencing hard time. Talk is cheap and people must talk and people will talk. What little progress that I see is people living above their means. They get things that they cannot afford, that’s why they get themselves in a lot of trouble. I am happy that the state of Dominica takes care and build houses for the less fortunate that makes my heart glad, I don’t thing I can return to live in DA cost of living is to high, and there is not a good health care system. I felt so sad when I saw Roseau. It need a make over. I could not take the atmosphere. I went there once or twice. It should be taken better care of. Many of the old buildings need to be torn down. Progress is having an up to date healthcare facility (hospital) good roads coming from the airport and giving Roseau a makeover. Anyway I still love paradise Island DOMINICA. There are resources that U can’t find anywhere in the world. My nature Island plant anything and it blossoms.

When I look at this survey/Data, this is really immature. This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Take for instance he claims that 43% of the 350 registered voters surveyed think that the country is heading in the right direction and 28% think it is heading in the wrong direction. Now, what happened to the other 29% which apparently happens to be 102 people. This is a significant number without an opinion. Yet, he claims that 73% of labor supporters believe that the country is going in the right direction, 11% of UWP supporters believe that which means 16% does not have an opinion. Now what is this number 73% based on. Is it 73% of 350 or the children who cannot vote. In another set of statistics cited, he claims 45% of the surveyed believe that things are improving, 28% believe things are the same and 27% believe that things have gotten worse. Therefore, 55% of those surveyed do not believe that things are improving. What about those who do not have an opinion. There is clearly an outlier some where in this survey. Who ever paid him to conduct this survey should demand a refund. I believe a better survey would have been a straight forward question and that is, which party is in a better position to win the next election ? and that should be conducted in every constituency and only then he should reveal his percentages based on responses and let the chips fall where they may. Otherwise, I see his survey/data as epic nonsense.

Then your results must be calculated within a specific confidence level. Example 95% is the most pupular.

You cannot use the percentage of the 350 as a true reflection of the entire population unless a distribution is used. And the sample must be randomly selected

How can a country be heading in the right direction when it’s main economic driver – income generator is TAXATION (direct & indirect) and seeking handouts from aid doners, which are few and far between.

Realistically speaking, if I were to say that over 50% of the eligible working population are unemployed would it be a gross exaggeration?

    • Where’s the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)?

But my comment is in the 19 polling stations areas in RS which areas did this so called researcher surveyed? If Ambrose won by over 900 votes then why there is no clear front runner in that race? by his own conclusion UWP is most likely to win if the elections are fair. You are really a mad, mad man, if you do not know it is wrong to do things like that–I do not understand why DNO is posting those comments of yours

How many of your family in Dominica can afford that? So, you can go ahead and talk crap======It is none of your damn concern what my family can afford; it is because I have witnessed their Lifestyle, which is satisfactory to me–that is the reason I am on my way back to Dominica to be with them; your negative rhetoric cannot change my mind.

And stop using my comments to make DNO readers think that you are a money man–for I know that you are not; you are stuck in Los Angeles in the cage of debts; that is the reason you cannot even visit Dominica, much more to decide to live there–you are nothing of the person whom you are claiming here, and I know it.,

Let me show you what is false speculation, and actually an accusation: “plagiarism”. You have for more than two years accused me of plagiarism. I challenged you many times to disclose who’s writing, who’s work I copy as mine, and post it verbatim on DNO so that you can prove that you found my source.

You are not able to produce one single speck of evidence!

Don’t you think it is time for you to simply shut up, and stop harassing me as you have done all Saturday, last night and all in the other forum; remember I told you I will have to change my identity by changing my name so that I can evade you. You promised you are going to haunt me for the rest of your life even after your death you said your sprit will continue to haunt me.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! You will be in Hell where the body soul, and sprit burns forever, you will be too busy ordering your sprit to find water to quench your thrust, neither you and your crazy sprit will find the time to come to prowl Los Angeles to find me, never mind haunt me!

Have a nice day, you young sucooyant, you think I (doh) know you flying from Canada to Los Angeles every night to come and drain all my blood while I am asleep? The reason you cannot get inside is because of all the garlic, and horse shoe I have hanging all over me house keeping you out oui!

DNO I am asking that you do not print the comments of Francisco Etienne Telemaque when it is about my comments–that man has no truth in him about me–we interacted as friends for a few months in 2011, from that time I got to know who he really is–especially that DNO audience was my conviction–I have rejected that man’s friendship, but he cannot accept that rejection,,

That man is speaking as if he knows me from head to toe, but he doesn’t, and all of the personal things that he writes here against my comments are all lies and false allegations.

DNO I believe that this man is using your website to harass me, because I have rejected him as a friend, I am asking you please, do not accept those post of his about me–they are too personal but extremely false and made-up information–that is not fair.

This man is using your website to breakdown my credibility; I am a woman of God and I do not deserve this; also I do not want to go back and forth about my personal Life with this man on a public website.

I am aware that he is doing the work of Satan, who is his father, against me– but you alone can stop this by God’s command –I hope you will consider my plead. Thank you for your consideration.

You see how stupid you are, you like to make trouble, but when I give you the heat you run praying, and crying to DNO to fight your battles. Everything I say about you is true!

How come I do not cry when you are all over the place telling people that I am plagiarizing? You can through that in my face everyday for the rest of your life, that will not fade me. You know why, you and I did not attend the same educational institutions.

You told me you were a little twelve year old teacher girl in your village; well, when you were a little twelve year old teacher girl, Francisco might be in kindergarten in government school in Wesley, I remember the first day I went my class was in the old; what the called School kitchen.

Two weeks later, I remember I was moved from there to what the called then Stage 1 (one) the rest is history, I left while still a kid after without completing Elementary, nevertheless, I finished Elementary in Antigua, and attended Hill Secondary School, my collage education commenced in England, and completed in the United States where I attended both College, and University.

You on the other hand have never sat in a College, nor University not for even one second in all of your life, never mind one day, much less graduating with a degree.

The kid has four scientific degrees, that is how I came by my knowledge, which you are jealous of, and will never gain to the day you die, even if you go back to school now and major in the same field of science as I did, Elizabeth you would die before you graduate in any of the science in my field.

If you try to compete with me academically, you will go crazy, because you are not academically educated, and that’s the difference between you and I!

Research company releases results of political survey in Roseau South Constituency — 27 percent think it had gotten worst

I will continue to say that I was born and lived in Dominica for the first years of existences in this world–I left Dominica at young age in 1974 to settle in Toronto, Canada–I have leaved in Toronto for 40 years this past April

However I have visited Dominica twice in the past 6 years in 2008 for 6 weeks and just about a year ago in 2013, two weekd for my mom’s funeral

And if in 1974, Dominica was as it is today, nothing and now would make me leave my homeland–nothing at all. So those of you who are claiming that Dominica’s economy is getting worse, you have no idea what it is that they are saying–it must be that you are spoiled babies who have known no hardship–that is the reason you cannot accept and appreciate the goodness, which you now have.

However, for me, it must be that moving to Toronto was God’s plan for my Life–I cannot claim that this move was unfruitful, But it seem as if now that God is done with me in Toronto, He is willing me to go back to my homeland and my people–there is no way I am going to turn away from His command. God knows what He is doing in my Life; I believe that the greatest job is planted in my Dominica.

Sorry to say that to you people, you who are claiming darkness and misery in our Dominica, I have to tell you that it is the futile fruit of the grounds of your own mind.

Now it is up to you to continue to nurture this futile seed to continuous growth in your mind or to deny its growth, so that you will be able to welcome the fruits of Life–if I were you, I would choose the latter. Blessings!

“And if in 1974, Dominica was as it is today, nothing and now would make me leave my homeland–nothing at all. So those of you who are claiming that Dominica’s economy is getting worse,”(Elizabeth Xavier).

You need to shut up Elizabeth! Just because you went to Dominica and some politician entertained you by filling your belly with some cheap boiled bananas, roast salt fish, and coconut water.

      Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

You claim he is your friend, since then to you Dominica is the most prosperous place in the universe. That is the same way many Dominicans who kisses the Butt, of these politicians to get what the want feel, meanwhile the majority of our people are suffering. Here we have someone in Dominica going to jail because he stole some grafted mangoes.

There was a time at home no matter how much mangoes we had and try to sell you could not sell a single one, we gave those away, or they simply fell to the ground an rot. One time when I was a kid I tried to sell some mango long in my village of Wesley, everybody who walked past me ask “what are you doing” When I said selling mangoes, I was advised to look around me to see the amount of mangoes on the ground rotting! I did not sell a single one.

The last time I was in Dominica, a cousin of mine went to a certain Four-Connor in the village, ( Wesley that is), I saw some Grafted Mangoes hanging over to the street from someone yard, I attempted to pick a few, my cousin said to me “not those man.” I ask him why? He said “because there are better ones over there.” It is not customary for people to call police to people in Dominica for taking a few mangoes, or some ripe bananas. Whereas people are now prosecuting people for taking a few mangoes, that is an indication that life has gotten worst in the country!

We are talking about the infirmary, I have never seen as many people at one time in the poor house in Dominica. That in itself speaks volumes. What is wrong with you, and others like you. Yes some people such as the politicians are building large million dollar homes, that their salaries cannot afford them,, they are thieves, the drug dealers can afford to own homes, and other expensive commodities. But what happens to the majority of people who grovels for something everyday? You went and kiss up to the politician who fed you, he did that because you were fresh out of Canada, on vacation, but move back permanently, and see how long amnesia will take to overwhelm him, in a few days he will forget you. You are easily manipulated Elizabeth, but we know what is going in Dominica.

The average house in America is below four hundred thousand dollars, whereas the same size of house, poorly built in Dominica will cost US$700,000.00 to one US$1000,000.00 dollars . How many people working for less than a thousand East Caribbean dollars per month build a house for that kind of money?

Just incase you do not know, a million U. S. dollars in Dominica is equivalent to EC (East Caribbean Currency) of $2, 700,000.00 dollars. How many of your family in Dominica can afford that? So, you can go ahead and talk crap, support them in their nonsense until the economy of Dominica collapse. I can tell you how expensive concrete blocks are in Dominica right now, I bout some last month for my eighty year old sister, he who feels it knows it Elizabeth, you are just a joke!

I often berate you for your lengthy posts; however I do applaud you for this post as the length is totally justified by the contents.

Sometimes you really have to spell it out to our fellow Dominicans. I suspect that tge majority of them are suffering from selective amnesia.

        Well said and well done.

Stats for us from Liz who was an experienced school teacher in Giraudel prior to 1974. 1974 Nixon was in Office I think. The US had just landed on the moon Apollo 11.
The Jackson 5 was getting older. Soul train was big DA was 4 yrs from independence. Leblanc was still Preimer.Dom Can Timbers was cutting our forest Gaylords had just moved to England. Jeff Charles was on Wibbs .Creole was still a dialect of the poor country bookie. Exile One and Grammacks was just in swing Parish hall was the dancing spot
      What that tells us FET?

Rather than commenting on what that tells us, I must say you have the potential to be a Dominica historian, and in general a historian!

You seem to know Elizabeth, and has convinced me she taught school as a little girl!

I remember the Gay Lords very well, Greg Barnis that great vocalists, we were friends, I think he eventually settled in England.

I remember Denis Joseph very well. I remember guy’s like Fitzroy, he was in another band ” De Boys An Dem.”

I still have some of their old Waxed Records, can’t play them any more since the old record players went out, and though they are on the rebound, they are not easily found, they are also very expensive now; the last time I saw one it cost seven hundred dollars.

        FET.

However we really need those canadian dollars so come home. Hope you made use of the opportunities that presented themselves to you in Canada.

      July 20, 2014

Ms. Xavier, all I can say to you is ‘who feels it, knows it’. You say that you’ve lived oversees for some 40 years. I ask you, if things are so nice in Dominica, why haven’t you moved back home and started living here in Dominica, paying the hard taxes and receiving the little social benefits the country has? Why do you continue to live in your plush oversees country, enjoying the good life and trying to tell us what is good for us and what is not good for us? I maintain that unless someone is living in Dominica for an extending period of time (minimum 2 years), paying the taxes, the bills and groceries and earning a living in Dominica and no where else, they will never understand the hardships that some are living in Dominica.

I am not disrespecting god but really man. All u coming and visit da and run back and then coming and say it not in misery. U lived in canada for how many years and u coming and talk about da people lying. Well i have news flash for u i live in the us and i visited dominica a few months ago and tears rolled down my cheeks, cause alot of people are suffering down there. Food is expensive, how will the poor continue to survive? Not many jobs , only i know somebody that know somebody survives. The only people that are happy in da are those who have their jobs, big house, vehicles e.t.c . Well they think they are happy, until they join the less fortunate. Jesus please help my country!

DNO, sorry to say, there is a total silence on the method used in the survey, without which the results publicized cannot be evaluated:

    1. Was that a random sample taken on the streets?
    2. What percentage of UWP and DLP respondents made up the 350 registered voters?
    3. We need a copy of the questionnaire used to determine if questions were politically biased or loaded.

We cannot just publicize the results in a vacuum. Their reliability WILL be called in question.

It id my experience that, unfortunately most Dominicans are not moved by “data”. hat is a handicapped enjoyed by both the ruling party and the opposition but more so by the DLP because they tend to cater for the lowest common denominator.
Mor pertinent is the question: “who paid for the survey”?

    • Peeping Tom
      July 20, 2014

Seems you are guilty of the same deficiency that you see in “most Dominicans” because the “who paid for the survey” appears to be the only pertinent question that you can cough up. The data do not seem to matter much to you! This is telling.

Are you referring to yourself? If so, when last you prayed to God to assist you? When last you sought employment? Some people expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter without lifting a finger. If they do not obtain their desires, they blame the government.
First we start with ourselves prior to blaming the government and others. When last you blamed yourself for the predicament of no employment and no money? Examine your conscience to know what you have done for yourself, to better yourself. If you are referring to others, the same applies. If it does not concern you, let people worry about themselves.

Delroy, anybody with commonsense, who read your nonsense, and analyze the contents will find so much contradiction in it they will realize you do not know what the heck you are talking about!

Your whole argument is based on as you claimed a survey of three (350) hundred-fifty people.

It is one thing to start shooting off your mouth talking percentage; Nevertheless, in reality nothing you claimed makes any sense, if you are talking about 28% of three hundred-fifty people, that is approximately ninety-eight people. Again 43% of 350 people is approximately 150.5 people, I have never seen a half of a person anywhere on this planet.

I do not know if they exist on your planet, or on some planet of the Apes!

Then you went haywire quoting percentage; I can’t even see you argument, so my conclusion is you are not talking about anything significant, except somebody may have paid you to spread some political propaganda. All of us Dominicans are not educated mathematically, but I assure you that some of us knows plenty of upper level mathematics, I can tell you; you have not said anything with substance, nor informative; you have not proved anything except ramblings. quoting percentage, with nothing to substantiate the crap you are talking about.

Well Mr Pierre Roseau South and Mahaut are the two largest constituencies in Dominica. To survey just 350 of the constituents, i am not certain that your survey can be deemed reliable.Roseau South consists of i suppose:
    Fond Baron,
    Loubiere ,
    Wall House,
    Citronier
    Kings Hill,
    Newtown,
    Silver Lake,
    Bath Estate,
    Giraudel ,
    Eggliston,
    Fortune and Elmshall.
If you had touched base with more people i would have given a little credence to your survey, but 350? Also note that 43% of 350 is just 150 voters who thought that the country is moving in the right direction less than HALF of the 350 you surveyed. That’s less than the numbers of new voters who have registered this year aloneIN ROSEAU SOUTH.. In a constituency of about 3000+voters (that’s my estimate of Roseau South, i could be wrong) why survey just 350?. THIS SURVEY OPENS ITSELF OUT TO A LOT OF QUESTIONS?
I expect a lot more surveys and even POLLS to come out soon, AFTER ALL IT’S ELECTION SEASON.
However based on what i am seeing, Roseau South is quickly saying BYE BYE to AMBRUISE PWEN COUWEE and to the corrupt Labour Party. Joshua Francis Dominicas most popular and loved politician seem to be the man that the people are embrasing.
In terms of peoples lives being better, i think that throughout the country it’s one cry, THAT THE QUALITY OF LIVES OF THE PEOPOPLE HAVE WORSENED.
By the way on whose behalf was the survey conducted???????????????????????
I EXPECT MORE POLLS and surveys soon! I am ny own
    HOW LONG?
    NOT LONG!

Uuuuummmmmmmmmm, how were the participants in this sample selected? Was there any randomness to their selection?

Is the sample selected representative of the larger Roseau South constituency or was the sample more representative of a particular area in the Roseau South Constituency?
