The Political Leader and Executive of the United Workers Party of St. Lucia have congratulated Lennox Linton on his election as Political Leader of the United Workers Party of Dominica.

Linton received the unanimous vote of party members during the UWP’s Delegates Conference held in Castle Bruce on Sunday.

In a release, political leader of the United Workers Party of Saint Lucia, Allen Chastanet, said “We welcome Mr. Linton’s ascension to the helm of the United Workers Party of Dominica, we look forward to holding talks soon on regional issues of mutual interest.”

In late July Chastanet, a former tourism minister, was elected the new leader of the UWP in St. Lucia.

Like seriously? That man did not win his seat in St. Lucia last election!!!!

To hopefully win his seat next election he hatched up a plot to have King removed as leader of the UWP. But all of us know him well and waiting for him to as usual put his foot in his mouth.

Moving along , I am posing a challenge to DNO to surf the web for the respectable Regional and International news media sites and tell us which media house gave coverage to LL and UWP Delegates “historic” meeting within the first 24 hours.

You mean to tell me “Mat” and his sidekick “Kalie” crook LL and doh send noooooooooooo news to Voice of America, CNN I-Report; Caribbean 360 News, and BBC?

DNO and Sandyford you can hold back my post if you wish but that fact is breaking news !!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was handed to him on a silver platter, are you kidding me? This is a man who has done everything in his might to destroy another Black man, he has belittled himself in the process. I really do hope that Mr. Linton has at least graduated HS, if not, my advice, fly to the US and take the GED in order to save yourself future embarassment. PM, in the meantime, pray for all those who will stop at nothing to destroy you. Victory will only be yours.

But we all know is not them you going and ask for aid is their subjects. How interesting!!!

It is unfortunate that Skerrit with all his University Education was not tactful , in terms of the characteristics of diplomacy. He did not have the courtesy to call or write Mr. Linton in order to congratulate him. Earlier in the week, he made many comments as regards Mr. Linton’s nomination, so why didn’t he leave his personal dislikes of Mr. Linton at home and instead use the office of the Prime Minister. Wasn’t it the same Skerrit who once offered an Olive Branch to members of the opposition and requested they should stop the politics of hate, but again the man is famous for flip flopping.

      September 3, 2013

Do you know that we as a party has never congratulated the DLP for winninf the 2000 Election, 2005 and 2009 elections and that we as a party didn’t participate in many things Dominican.

Do you know that Lennox is using the political passage way as a means to get back at Skerrit.

I have aligned to the UWP but I am seating this one out. I am not confortable with lennox, I see too much bitternes and hatred in this man.

      • September 3, 2013

You see the hate and bitterness in Linton, but you are already feeling the pain and hardship from Skerrit
The question for you is, Do you wanna take a chance with Lintons hate and bitterness, and hope Things get better or to continue taking the pain and hardship??, Just think alittle bit about it

Ps, I would lean towards the side of hope :-D
Give him a chance, if he isn’t performing, then we vote him out, very simple, nothing personal :-D

      • September 3, 2013

      September 3, 2013

Why does Mr Skerrit have to congratulate Lennox Linton, he is NOT an elected member of Parliament? This is an internal party issue nothing to do with DLP and Government. If he was an elected member of the house and nominated Opposition Leader then you congratulate him as it would be an office of the official parliament. Lennox is not yet even a candidate in a General Elections so he is only an appointee of the UWP internal party organ. I say welcome to the arena.
