Mr Green, what I think you should do is UNIFY the leadership of your party. No organisation can work well with two leaders, The love of Dominica should come before yours. One voice is one voice, two voices are two voices. Somsthimes you need everyone to back one voice.
Muslim_Always, as I was about to submit I noticed your comment, that’s the same thing I am saying, these guys have no idea, they sleep in there beds at night and all they think about is becoming Prime Minister for themselves, Not for DA. I think he ( mr. Green ) should give the responsibility of leader of the party to the Leader of the opposition. Untill then Dominica will be a one party state.

Even the driver who drove Ron a few days are go is making fun of Ron. So you decide what you are getting into with the MIGHTY RON, and you tell me. The former Hon. Ron Green who was seen in the past as a mentor and pillar, has now been seen as one of the second biggest laughing stock in the country. The first being Hector John, who I quote” Intead of building the President House with 27,000,000.00 why don t we use the money to buikd offices for opposition and voters ID card. What a doom suugestion for an Opposition Leader to make………………..Shame on you Mr. John. Was just describing how hilarious that Opposoition Leader is.

Ron i would have more respect for you if you hold the meeting to organise a “large group” of people from all over Dominica to go search for the missing child!!!

Thats what I want to hear, not political garbage! I myself will join and i’m sure many people will do the same.

What I hope that the meeting will address is not only what is the state of the nation, but how the UWP plans to improve the status of these matters. If agriculture is in trouble, limited markets for bananas, how will the UWP approach other countries for opening up markets to our goods. What is the plan for reducing the high import bill and increasing our local production and exports?

Removing the PM from office because of the dual citizenship issue is not a viable plan. Who will replace him? It is time that we are presented with an alternative. Does the replacement have a plan for moving the country forward? If so, then we deserve to have that plan be publicized. For every action that the current administration has taken that has had a negative impact on the country, the UWP must present us with an alternative plan that takes us higher than the next level.

I am tired of hearing about problems. It is time for solutions. If the UWP does not have a solid plan for presenting solutions, then they are part of the problem. There is just too much talk, wasted energy, rather than the development of a solid plan for improving our country.

How will the UWP address high unemployment? How will they develop our agro industry? How will they address poverty? What is the plan for bringing those in the Diaspora back to be part of building our country? How will they address rampant child abuse? What about the homeless mentally ill roaming the streets of Roseau and other villages? What about the number of young alcoholics?

It is time to have a broader vision for our country. Until the UWP moves beyond their narrow scope of simply criticizing the current administration, we remain doomed to petty party politics.

so u mean there is noone in Dominica, the entire commonwealth of Dominica who can replace Skerrit?

      • jabo
        February 23, 2011

carl, he has not said there is no replacement, this is your saying. he is simply asking uwp to give us some answers and solutions along with the criticism. i think that is reasonable.

I could not have said it better, after reading alot of Mr John’s wall, at no time have I seen anything to suggest that he or Mr Green has any thing constructive for the future of Dominica. I an of no political affiliation, I like truth and good politice. what I can say base on what I read from these people, They ( UWP) has no vision for DA at the moment. Hope it works for Dominica.

Keep making nonsensical speeches still! Don’t listen to your supporters! Don’t start discussing a tangible plan for development! Continue with the same sad stories and you will see if the UWP wouldn’t fall flat on it’s face.

We need an opposition to represent the affairs of the people, thus there is democracy and balance; however, in my humble opinion, the UWP is becoming weaker and weaker. Stop boycotting parliament and debate issues like men with balls between their legs. Even if it’s 18-3, have some dignity and pride and represent the people; come with hard tangible facts and debate like men, you may gain supporters if you continue to work for the people. Shucks man!
