Results of the poll

The latest poll set up by Dominica News Online showed that 76% (672) votes are in favour of Dominica exporting its water to other Caribbean countries, amidst the drought like season.

Nineteen percent (168) votes reflected those who believe that Dominica should not ship its water, whereas five percent (45) votes indicated those who were not sure of an answer to the poll question.

A new poll was set up at the upper right hand of the website.

I am in support of Dominica helping other Caribbean countries in times of need, with water shortage, but oppose to the idea of exporting water.

Dominica’s greatest asset is water and it should hold on to that asset.

I too agree with the matter of exporting water from Dominica as a source of foreign exchange earnings, I however pause tointone that there are efforts underway to do just that. last October for example the government of Dominica gave to Mr. Athie Martin a license to export water from the Melville River. before that mr. M<artin spoke in glowing terms about Dominica's ability to export water and how his compnay was simply waiting on a license fom government to do just that. Six months later, teh Dominican public is yet tobe told by Mr. Martin what has happened since he recieved that license. this is a man who has ALL THE IDEAS about how to govern Dominica.he speaks with authority on every concievable subject matter. According to Martin, governmenmt seem unable to understand anything about development. He has all the answers and ideas. Mr. martin you have the means now to prove people like me wrong. Go ahead and bring the project of exporting water from Dominica into reality. you should have all the ideas on how to overcoem your difficulties.
