The Dominica Freedom Party joins the family and friends, the Business community, and Dominicans on a whole to mourn the death of distinguished businessman, esteemed hotelier, and beloved philanthropist, Mr. Phillip Nassief who passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Mr. Nassief’s remarkable achievements and unwavering dedication to excellence, as well as his contributions to the economic and social landscape, have left an indelible mark on business, hospitality, and community service in Dominica, as well as his contribution in the regional and international communities.

His visionary leadership and entrepreneurial spirit have not only transformed industries but have also inspired countless individuals to strive for excellence in the private and public sectors. The Dominica Coconut Products Limited, Belfast Rum / Estate, Refresh Company, Springfield Trading, and Fort Young Hotel are testaments of his tremendous
investment, leadership in the business community, and employment creation in Dominica over so many years.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Nassief’s amazing initiatives have touched the lives of many, demonstrating his profound commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. His generosity and compassion have enriched communities and uplifted those in need, leaving a legacy of kindness and goodwill that will endure for
generations.

The Dominica Freedom Party extends deepest condolences to his family, relatives, employees, the business community and Dominicans by extension. May you find strength in the cherished memories that we have all shared with Mr. Phillip Nassief and comfort in the knowledge that his legacy of excellence and service will continue to inspire us all.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
