Prime Minister Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit will attend the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this week.
Prime Minister Skerrit will deliver an address during the high-level segment of COP 28, scheduled for December 1-2, and participate in a ceremony to announce Green Climate Fund support to the Blue Co. Caribbean Umbrella Coordination Programme on December 1.
The 28th edition of the United Nations Conference of Parties (COP) forms part of the UN Climate Change Conference, which runs from November 30 to December 12. This year, the annual climate conference will deliberate on the Global Stocktake with countries reporting on the steps taken to achieve the goals of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement and the Loss and Damages Fund, established to compensate the most vulnerable countries bearing the brunt of climate change. Hon. Dr. Irving McIntyre, Minister for Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
By the way, has he visited 10 Downing Street?
Corruption is shameless and has absolutely no boundaries. But Dominicans don’t care! It’s unbelievable!
Very interesting he travels to every country in the world but the United States of America, l wondered why.
Initially, I had my doubts about climate change. After experiencing the prolong high temperatures in recent years, I am now convinced, beyond a shadow of doubt, that climate change is real.
I’m also convinced that COP 28 will achieve the same results like all the others before, NOTHING. This meeting will be nothing but one of the world’s largest takshops. The poor countries are looking for a windfall from the large, industrialised countries to shore up their dying economies. So these meetings are devised by the great polluters to deceive the impoverished countries into thinking that they have something tangible coming to hope for.
Finally, this glaring observation. Roosevelt is racking up more frequent flyer miles than any other ruler worldwide. Has he spent two consecutive weeks in Dominica for this year? The man is a visitor/tourist in his own country.
That is just one way of avoiding you. The man is a busy man, as busy as a bee. Why don’t you get busy too and stop minding other people’s business. The PM is a seasoned traveler, and we love it. It is about time that someone explores the world. I cannot do it, Francisco Telemakak cannot do it, because we are both scared of flying. Somebody has to do it. Stop sticking your as. one place and be as free as a bird, damn it.
Welcome to the most corrupt COP ever COP 28. According to evidence gathered by world journalists the United Arab Emirates planned to use its role as the host of UN climate talks as an opportunity to strike oil and gas deals. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-67508331
Can somebody let me know since when was the earth’s climate ever supposed to be stuck in a fixed unchanging state?

From time immemorial, the Earth’s climate has ALWAYS been in a state of change & flux.
I’ve heard persons say that Hurricane Maria was a result of climate change. Oh really. On what conclusive evidence did such persons come to their conclusions that Maria was due to this so-called ‘climate change’ rather than it being due to the random convergence of strong storm-forming climatic factors at the time?
This ‘climate change’ agenda is merely a well-designed Trojan Horse (orchestrated by covert actors) intended to usher in a unified set of global laws on all nations in order to control what people eat, how people travel, how people work, what people wear etc.
This is the real agenda behind this so-called ‘climate change’ thing – CONTROL!!! CONTROL!!! CONTROL!!! This ‘Saving-the-planet’ narrative is just deception to hide the real goals.
I agree. And looking at it the other way about:
There is an area in Greenland, now covered in ice, that centuries ago was productive farmland, and there is a valley in the north of England, where the sun now seldom shines, that three hundred years ago grew grapes.
When Mister has finished traveling the globe in luxury, the state coffers will be empty. The guy just can’t get enough.
