This month, Airawak has launched service between St. Lucia, Martinique and Dominica. With this new service, travelers can now fly from the United States to Martinique twice a week, connecting to American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Jet Blue or US Airways in Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), near Vieux Fort, St. Lucia.

These flights are expensive. Liat still wins when it comes to prices on these routes.
This is a great idear but there should be a flight from St Lucia to Dominica making a connection from Jet Blue. I have taken Jet Blue to St Lucia and then the ferry to Dominica which is not bad but this is something that can be taken into consideration.
The thing is, our Caribbean leaders keep talking about regional integration, while at the same time making it virtually impossible for inter island travel. Over $800 for a 15 min flight, that is the big JOKE.
Will they land in the night.
Good try but without direct haul long air access from north america and europe all this is just a damn big joke
liat is highly unreliable in terms of being on time
why don we get Air Caraibes from Guadeloupe and Martinique to Dominica instead and creat a new connection. Why should we settle for little aircraft ll the time to domiica;
oh please my people stop critisizing every god damn thing. and yes you can take all yr luggage with you and the aircraft is actually bigger than it looks in the photograph. and it has been operating here for the past two weeks. pleassssssse just say thank you so when the ferry is on dry dock we can have some other means of transportation.
Beauty, all joking aside I have no objection to the Britten-Norman Islander, a well proven design even though it sounds like a tractor. I would use it for international connections through St. Lucia if the departure- & arrival times fit in with those of carriers from N. America or the U.K. using Hewanorra, ideally with interlining arrangements like Winair have in St. Maarten. A very important consideration would be a same day connection to Dominica. The aircraft is a relatively slow, simple workhorse with no frills and a max. passenger capacity of 9. For this I would not want to pay more than what LIAT would charge me for the same trip i.e. this service must be competitive in ticket pricing with LIAT on the the Dominica St. Lucia route for it to be viable. If it is I see a good future as an alternative to Antigua.
Amen…
Well said. All u get from Dumbinicans is whining and complaining. Of course there is room for more, but this is a step in the right direction.
If you have the money.
it is amazing how the lovely people of my land respond to and interpret news. lol. Anyway on a serious note i sticking to LIAT….they get you there whenever but they get you there safe.
32 minutes in a flying lawnmower for that kind of money and not even a cup of coffee!?. Sorry, but it’ll will have to be the ferry for me so I can at least also take my two suitcases.
may God have mercy on our soul in this country
I would like to know what significant change is that piece of red, and yellow garbage we see in the picture is going to bring to Dominica. So in order for me to get home, I will have another option to over-fly Dominica, to Martinique, and get on that red and yellow fire fighting Ambulance, and fly to Dominica!
Every steep we take, every move we make, see to be in the reverse direction. Where is our ambition?
DNO, such is not news, and those among us who would be elated over such petty nonsense has already exceed every measure of backwardness!
Where is our International Airport?
Francisco Etienne-Dods Telemaque
Ur right MR TELEMAQUE because you are so quick to judge and criticize someone for providing another form of transportation to the island but yet still what have u done for the betterment of the country, please provide proof of what you have done that would be news for DNO . hmmmm Dominica must have done u a grave injustice on education because ur quick talk about ambition, and backwardness but yet still u can’t spell the word “STEP”…………now i say all this to say “HUSH UR MOUTH…”
hush ure mouth i agree hus your mouth s*&t u talking. hope wen u sick and have to go Martinique is not on de ambulance they put u. would leave u to rot in the hospital hush ure mouth
C’est tros chere!!!
Anyone taking bets on how long this one will last?
Another fly by night!!!! Why Blackmore, Douglass, DDA and the Port A… did not make a huge mountain about this moustique airline this time? Is it that they are fed up with making grandios pronoucements that adds up to nothing? By the way, it has been rumoured that WINAIR will soon be closing shop in DA again!!!! Lets wait for AA, BA, JetBlue, and Caribbean Airlines. They will surely rescue us from our calamity.
Did the DHTA say they were going for a national airline? Tell us DH|TA, is it one like this mosquito? If this is so, then count me out!!!!
ure an ignorant fool with a bird brain hush your mouth sh*& u talking
I wonder if my luggage will even fit on that airplane much less arrive in DA?
Another “fly by night” airline poping up like wild weeds. I’m waiting to see if it ‘s going to grow.
That aircraft looks dated and unsafe.
I check these people’s web site and booked a flight to St Lucia for two days and LORD HAVE MERCY they quoted me a fare of 600 euros (over $2000.00). Are they for real? Somebody please tell me I had the wrong site!!!!!!!!
