Chinese seeing red in Antigua

In what’s being deemed as an unprecedented development, officials of the Chinese Embassy have strongly objected to the latest tactic by the Antigua Labour Party-aligned group, Lone Wolf, which raised the Tibetan and Taiwanese flags on Monday to illustrate its disapproval of the Chinese-funded Wadadli Power Plant deal.

“We do not think the protest is in any connection with the power plant at all. It is just anti-China … and it is really outside of the political (situation) of Antigua & Barbuda … They are interfering in the internal affairs of China. We strongly oppose that,” First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy Madam Zhaofeng Wang told OBSERVER Media.

Old generators for new generator prices. Avoiding having this passed through parliament. It seems Mr Spencer feels above the law. I wonder what he bought with his 30 pieces of silver…

Thanks for all the encouraging comments from the good people of Dominica. We will be holding the Chinese, Baldwin Spencer, and David Shoul responsible for not taking the loan agreement to parliament before it was signed as is required under s47 Finance and Administration Act, 2006. Prime Minister Spencer oath of Office states that he would obey the law and he admitted at the press conference with the Chinese that the loan agreement never went to Parliament for approval. Please take a look at my blog site for the latest on the protest against the Chinese from the Lone Wolf Picketers and if you in Antigua want to come and picket feel free to join us. Regard!!

At least the Antiguan are not singing for their supper. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The people need to know what is going on and they are not scared to do whatever it takes to get some answers. I say thumbs up to the people of Antigua. Some other countries need to learn from them

When these chinese officials sponsor governments in office with party political campaign contributions are they not more involved in political interference than someone holding up a Taiwanese flag in their own “INDEPENDENT “country which is not governed by china? Maybe it is governed by china.

How can they be interfering in the internal affairs of China if they raise a flag in their ISLAND ANTIGUA? So people can’t even do what they want in their own country, or support who they want to? Welcome to the caribbean China this ain’t TIBET.

LOL! Boy I guess that this is one way to get under the Chinese skin is to fly the flag of Tibet and Taiwan.

But I guess if they really want answers then they should be petitioning their government and not the Chinese. The Chinese are not beholden unto the people of Antigua, their local govermnet is.

If the government is not going to give you answers, are you then expecting them from the Chinese?

Well I don’t know if this strategy is going to work; get to the Chinese to get to the government.

In any case the country belongs to the people and they have the right to know of deals done in their name, period.

The ppl who do this have no idea what they are doing. The do not understand the nature of the issue with Tibet and Taiwan and believe when they do this crap it is somehow making a “Local” political Statement.

All the developed Countries do business with china, have a diplomatic relationship with china, thereby adhering to the One China Policy. Its only we in the Caribbean who want to take China’s internal affairs and use it in our own local political war. Have you ever seen Americans so boldly make these interference in China’s internal political affairs? No. Because they realize that this is China’s internal Business. The most that the Western world can do is send clear messages to China, messages referring to human rights, not about one China Policy.

Carbbean ppl need to take a cue on the outside world to see how ppl behave. This is not different from Dominica because Workers Party has tried these same old tactics of raising Taiwanese flags.

Diplomacy should be taught in high school in the Caribbean, because we are truly lacking any form of it.

Why do you have a prolem with an individual expresssing his/her democratic right? Why is this crap?
Do you want Caribbean people to behave as if we are controlled by Communist regimes?
You are opening up yourself for serious “verbal and printed blows” with that comment of yours.
Are you aware that the President of the USA and other world leaders have met “one on one” with The Dalai Lama while China protested?
Is democracy alien to you? Please educate yourself on the principles of democracy.

You have no idea what is ‘One China Policy’.

If we would do more reading and try to make more educated comments, we would not thing that having one on one talks with Dalai Lama while china protested is equivalent to Antiguans protesting with tibetan and Taiwanese flags. This is a totally ignorant insinuation.

The Taiwanese have their diplomatic stations all over the US and in many other countries. Only in those small countries they IMPOSE their one China crap. Even Haiti has relations with BOTH of them. I guess when we come begging bowl in hand we must accept what we are given. Including the One China Policy!

I am not against t he Chinese People. But their mission is absurd which is to have super power over the world.Never realise how they settle in different islands and try to give grants so their people can slowly develop ? They dump all their cheap stuff and due to econic crisis person are forced to buy it making them richer and that money goes right back to China.

Notice on world news how they try and recycle everything ! Not bearing in mind whether its a health hazard or not . Updated news show they use scraps of leather of make capsules casing.I MEAN HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT ? And persons are wondering how did they get Cancer and all that.

Chinese need to do much better than that, Is like they got no love for other people but themselves !But remember God is the Super Power !!!!!!!!!
