Cuban literacy method benefits almost six million people around the world

Almost six million people in 28 countries all over the world have learned to read and write thanks to the Cuban literacy method ‘Yo si puedo’ (Yes, I Can).

According to Enia Rosa Torres, an advisor to the Cuban Minister of Education, 5.8 million people have already learned to read and write using the ‘Yo si puedo’ method, while 723,900 others have benefited from a similar Cuban methodology called ‘Yo si puedo seguir’ (Yes, I Can Continue), which guarantees elementary instruction.

Its my wish that Dominica would benefit from this literacy program, our people would better able to think and analyze things for themselves and not depend on the few who continue to keep them in that state of illiteracy

    @ Lougaoo Mem:
That’s the real news all peoples of the world need to know about. Cuba is a champion of less fortunate ones, while the elite of the western world try keeping us ignorant, poor and miserable. Cuba demonstrates the true meaning of humanity. We have Freedom of speech in Dominica, right? Well, has it gotten us out of the gutters of despair, has it promoted the very poor to a better social standing, has freedom of speech healed us from the bondage of the slave masters and their puppeteers, has it taken us out of the mire and murky quick sands of a horrible administration that has sold us out to Beijing? Cuba is the only free country in the Western hemisphere, so get with the program. I am just really sorry for all you ignorant folk that don’t know your left brain from your right brain.

Certainly, your last sentence says a great deal of how ur brain functions. In addition, to say that Cuba is the only FREE country in the Western Hemisphere, clearly, there’s something very wrong about your thought process. Have a nice day!

Why don’t you immigrate to Cuba? Have you ever thought of it? I know that thousands of Dominicans have immigrated to the US, I wonder how many have made their home in Cuba?
