GEORGETOWN, Cayman Islands, CMC – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 was felt in the Cayman Islands on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) was located at 19.02 degrees north, 80.84 degrees west at a depth of 10 kilometres.
It said it was located at 40 miles east south east of the capital or 195 miles west north west of Montego Bay in Jamaica.
Last Tuesday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 hit Haiti, leaving an estimated 100,000 people dead.
