ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, June 16, 2010 – LIAT wishes to advise that it has been forced to cancel all flights for Wednesday, June 16, 2010 after pilots throughout the network initiated industrial action by calling in sick today.
All affected passengers will be allowed to rebook without additional costs. Passengers who no longer wish to travel as planned, due to the disruption, will be issued a full credit for future travel on LIAT.

-PRESS RELEASE
I heard from the news that LIAT is Crediting all monies for future travel and is rebooking all customers without a charge, we saw on the news that all the Airline staff were at the counters assisting affecting passengers the best they could and they should be commended, I was a bit upset because of the disruption, but the LIAT agents dealt with the situation in a professional and empathetic manner.
ohh my!!!
it is a shame that people have to continue to suffer because of LIAT'S indifference, how much longer will carribean people have to suffer and lose out, because of OUR so called CARRIBEAN AIRLINE, the persons affected should be given the option to have their monies refunded in full or credited.
