PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – A 44-year-old man who stabbed his estranged wife to death because she infected him with the deadly HIV/AIDS virus has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.
Earlier this month, a 12-member jury deliberated for 35 minutes before reaching a guilty verdict against Anthony Atwell, who had previously been charged with murder.
The prosecution told the court that Atwell killed Gail August because she rejected his pleas for reconciliation, but the jury accepted his defence that he was provoked into killing her after she infected him with HIV and then left him for another man.

If we accept this story at face value it appears that the wife had been unfaithful with another man who either became infected by a bisexual man or by a woman who had been infected by a bisexual man.
In most cases of HIV homosexuality (or bisexuality) is involved. Yet we have nations that have decriminalized same sex relationships and other nations where people are lobbying the government to have it decriminalized.
If these people would have unprotected sex even when they KNOW they are positive of course they would lobby to have same sex relationships decriminalized. THIS IS THE KIND OF PEOPLE THEY ARE! They are people of bad character. Added to that they are intellectually challenged.
In this story we are looking at a man who killed his wife because she allegedly gave him HIV. Whether she deserved to die is not the issue. The issue is did he kill her? The court determined he did. He did not have a legal right to do this. We are NOT allowed to take he law into our own hands.
In a nation under the Lordship of Christ where everybody lived by laws that were based upon the New Testament there would be no HIV, nobody getting infected, and there would be no murder. At the present time this is not what the majority of people want. Or if it is our governments are not ready to give it to us. So Christians continue to pray “Thy kingdom come” .
I have heard of cases where the people who knowingly infected somebody was found guilty of murder and sentenced accordingly by the courts. If it happens in a nation that has capital punishment for murder so be it. God has given to human governments the delegated right to make laws and enforce those laws according to Romans 13:1-4. Again I say, as civilians do not have the right to take the law into our own hands. We must leave any executing that is done to the civil authorities.

I am surprise this has not happen in Dominica. With many women living promiscuous life-style and for money too. So many of them are having indiscriminate sex and many with bus drivers. HIV/AIDS and other STD’s are rampant.

If the wife has HIV/AIDS and she left him for an other man, then the other man has the virus too. How sick is that. She was spreading the disease. This is where the Law of the land comes in. Those who know that they have contracted AIDS and who willfully have sex with another, should be arrested, charged and imprisoned. We can call them murderers.
Once people have contracted AIDS they will have it for life and their demise will not be far away.
In progressive (big) countries they are charged and imprisoned. If this is not done in the West Indies it is high time that those W.I. governments take steps accordingly. This should teach those who have AIDS and who continue to have sex with others a lesson. It will also be a lesson for others.

Some people have contracted it through blood transfusion. Babies have contracted through their mothers who have AIDS. Those are sad cases.
There was a recent case which went all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada against homosexuals prohibited from giving blood. The Red Cross refused to accept blood from homosexuals for obvious reasons. You should know why due to their type of relationship with another man. The Red Cross won the case.

Many continue to have unprotected sex even after they know they have tested positive. One man – an airplane steward – continued to have unprotected sex after he tested positive until he had infected over 200 more men across the USA. Another gay man continued until he had infected over 90 men.
The multiplicity of partners we see here is not unusual in the gay community.

God has delegated to human governments the right to make laws and punish those who violate them according to Romans 13:1-4. However, God has not mandated the death penalty for homosexuality in the New Testament as He did in Old Testament times.
A homosexual who knows he can be executed for buggery is less likely to follow his
perverted urges. But he is still a sinner. If he dies without being born again (John 3:3) he will miss heaven and spend eternity in hell.
