It has been rumoured that Ambrose is postioning himself to be the next leader of the dlp and dominica in the unlikely event that the pm is asked to vacate his seat. I belive that the ruling of the court will be taken to the court of appeal. I also beleieve that the pm will retain his seat or a bye election wil be called and also as far as St Jean is concerned definitely there will be a bye election. So really there will be a mixed result where both sides claiming some victory.

AMBROSE should be leader and I know that some people in newtown, well alot of talk against him now because the PM and Blackmoore are POLITICALLY more astute than Ambrose.

I think Ambrose will help clear dominica;s good name although there has been many allegations aginst him and talk about the washing of money in the roseau river but all that is just unfounded……can someone wash maoney in a river ?

we will HOPE THAT pm skerro gives ambrose his chance to be pm he missed it twice already with rosie and pierro.

    ITS AMBROSE TIME

What the opposition should do is try
To impose term limitation on all politicians
In office. No more that 8yrs in order for democracy
To grow new innovated ideas need to be brought
Forward to the people. We can’t have one person in power for decades or that’s right we can in a communist world. Wake up dominicans, there are a lot of sons and daughters that are highly qualified to take our country to the next level.

Politics need to be taken seriously. Anytime a party will spend 23 million on an election and fly jets into an airport which is not an international airport it must be taken seriously. Politics must be taken seriously when a sitting PM is challenged by his embassador and when a sitting PM ends up in court to decide his legitimacy. When politics determines who eat chicken wings and who suck breast can we take politics as a joke. In Jamaica he thought of his children and his life and decided that this error could determine his own fate and many of us have come to realise in Dominica

IF EVERY POLITICAL PARTY SAY THAT THEY ARE GOING TO WORK FOR THE GOOD OF THE POPULATION ;WHY DON’T THEY HAVE ONLY ONE POLITICAL PARTY. THIS IS TO SHOW EVERY ONE OF US THAT THESE ARE JUST WORDS AND LIES WHICH COMES FROM THEIR MOUTHS.
1 PARTY,1 NATION,WORK TOGETHER , FOR EACH OTHER THEN WE WILL ALL SEE THE DIFFERENCE IF ITS GOOD OR BAD BUT EVERY POLITICIAN EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE IN THE SAME PARTY OR NOT THEY ARE ALL AGAINST EACH OTHER WHILE THEY WANT TO FILL THEIR POCKETS TO BETTER THEIR OWN FAMILY AND FORGET THOSE WHO VOTED TO PUT THEM IN POWER.

Some people are too blind & lack commonsense to see that except for the exceptionally rich, it’s hard all around the world including North America & Europe so Dominica’s situation is not unique. Its worldwide, infact Dominicans have it better because of access to free fresh food, water etc.

      @ vip

First of all where do your comment fit in, in this article?
Let us be fair. Who are you blaming for that? Parents are responsible for their children. They want children? Then they have to bear the responsibility of nurturing them, housing, feeding and clothing them. Too often people blame the government for their frailties and the manner in which they live their personal lives. You know some of those children are born out of wedlock. Some men having children with several women; some women having children with several men. Some of them are not employed. I am not insinuating that they should practice birth control. I am implicating and putting it mildly they should be godly people, if you know what I mean. Place the blame where it belongs.

Probably instead of buying them blackberries, weave, hoochie mama shoes, doing their nails everyweek, that money should be spent to pay for exams and to feed them.

We are such hypocrites. Have you ever sat on a bus with school children to see the amount of them who have bb phones and iphones? They even laugh at you cause you are working and you do not have a bb. Go to the hairdresser and they are there every week. When I do my nails once a month, they do theirs every week. Don’t talk about the shoes and the outfits that they wear. Then we come and blame Dominica/government because they hungry.
Let us get our priorities straight and stop leaving above our means. Stupes

WHAT UTTER B****T…I GREW UP IN A TIME WHEN WE HAD TO PUT SUGAR, COOKING BUTTER AND EVEN TABLET(THE SWEETENED COCONUT TREAT) IN OUR BREAD TO EAT…WE UNDERSTOOD THAT OUR PARENTS DIDN’T HAVE MUCH BUT WHAT THEY HAD THEY MADE THE BEST OF…AND MOST OF US TUREND OUT JUST FINE…AND NOW YOU TELLING ME THIS NONSENSE.

MOST CHILDREN TODAY AND THAT’S A FACT, SELL THEIR BODIES BECAUSE THEY WANT MATERIAL THINGS (CELL PHONES, CLOTHES, SHOES, QUICK MONEY, ETC.) AND THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET IT NOW.

I’M SURE YOU SEE THEM, WALKING THROUGH ROSEAU, DRESSED DISGRACEFULLY, LOOKING LIKE THEY ARE GOING TO A BROTHEL, CURSING AND FLAUNTING THEIR WEARS WITHOUT REMORSE.

SO THIS IS WHY WE HAVE A LOT OF THESE PROBLEMS AND SOME PARENTS ARE EITHER TOO BLIND, TO STUPID OR TO SUE-TI-WHE.

it is hard all over. that is not to say that its ok. the only way to solve those problems is to work together, both ruling and opposition. :( but this is ufortunately imopsible in todays political climate.i do hope however that we can all put aside pety politics and do whats right for our country and its people.

Life is worth living. He voted. He made an error and he should have forgotten about it. He really took politics too seriously. Losing his God-given precious life was not worth the worry. I wonder what happened when he died and had to answer to God for his actions.
You know the saying: “Don’t worry be happy.” Or after all is said and done life has to go on.

Dude, if you ever lived or live in JA you would understand what politics mean to them. A serious business dat. Scary too. That’s where I learnt to keep my political and religious opinion to myself. They used to play a song “Al Capone guns don’t argue”. Nuff said.
