All I will say is that I really do not understand why it is that Dominica must be importing Phillipinos from halfway around the world to come to DA to work for low pay and populate the country when our country is under so much stress due to the cronic lack of employment opportunities on the island!!!! These people should not be allowed to leave their country to come to DA with promises of emloyment when our people are going without work!!!!! What madness!!!!!!!!

Please stop this nonsical verbal deficiencies that many of us suffers from. I am with a philipino girl and she is very loving. I’ve had a gf in DM but while we were loving she got pregnant for another man. openly met her having her fun with another man in my own home. Shame on some of us who want to think that all people are the same. Not all dominicans and bad people and its the same for the philipino

We have not seen a significant decrease in our local unemployment rate since the first ban was issued a few weeks ago. Therefore, no need to worry Dominica.

I do care about the philipinos working in the caribbean, mainly because what is happening to them could easily be happening to Dominican citizens in various parts of the region. Is the B.V.I a case in point? What about the french territories? Lets stop pretending it doesn’t happening.

We have no sweat shops in the Caribbean. Implement the order for places like the U.S. where your citizens get used to the bone. I’m sure you can’t. Better yet keep them home.

In God’s Eyes, we are one people. He is the God of the Jews and as well the Gentiles. This earth does not belong to anyone of us, yet we fighting for something that we cannot take with us. Stiop the hatred, fighting other fellowmen and let us concentrate on the Creators love for us. Then we will see humanity as Our Father sees us. Stop the discrimination and we are one people in the world. Even if we do not like to hear it or even we are of different culture, colour, creed etc. What is important is for us to follow our creator’s commandments so we can become not only his creation but his “sons” .

Most peculiar. As recent as 29 April of this year Dominica’s U.N. ambassador in New York, Vince Henderson on behalf of Dominica, signed an agreement with the Philippines establishing formal diplomatic ties with that country, with a particular emphasis on “people-to-people exchanges”.What went wrong?

Yeh well what ever. Let them stay where they are, those ppl migrating to caribbean islands is no good for any of the caribbean islands that they are already inhabiting. They work for less, which will just bring down minimum wage for everybody and deplore the class of living. On top of that they don’t come in ones and twos, today you’ll see three of them tomorrow you will see twenty. I wish they would just stay where they are or go to countries were they would actually be useful. Stay where you are please Amen.

what is that ban all about? Dominica has never been a net beneficiary of Filipino workers of an sort. so why did they bother put the name of Dominica on their foolish list. its mostly the middle east and asian countries that these unfortunate people mostly women, go to get abused.

You may be surprised to learn that the Cayman Islands alone are home to some 2,400 workers from the Philippines? They are preferred to local staff, expecially in the hospitality industry.
