Riot police have fired tear gas at stone-throwing protesters in Venezuela’s capital amid opposition demonstrations to pressure electoral authorities into allowing a recall referendum against President Nicolas Maduro.

Protesters and National Guard members clashed on a highway in Caracas on Wednesday where thousands of demonstrators chanted “freedom” and waved copies of the constitution.

A video showed an officer appearing to use pepper spray against Henrique Capriles, the two-time presidential candidate, during the protest.

Capriles later said on Twitter that he was fine.

In the western opposition stronghold of Tachira, protesters brandished signs reading “We don’t want to do die of hunger”, while some masked youths blocked streets with rubbish and prepared Molotov cocktails.

If only some people could see the future, they would live peacefully and make do with what they have, knowing nothing lasts forever. Note what occurred in the Middle East. They ousted their leaders and now what? ISIS set in which was what they were waiting for. Some were murdered, injured and displaced. The result of this is millions of refugees which the West took in, into their country with all their domestic problems and nationals’ poverty.
So far the Canadian government has spent $34M to feed and house over 25,000 refugees, with more to come. The cost will be higher. This country has its share of poverty and also homeless people.
Never advocate protests and encourage them. Those who do will also pay for it. It could be a punishment for everyone in the country.
This Venezuela crisis needs outside intervention to make peace and find a solution to their dilemma.
They try to oust a leader. It could be from the pot into the fire.
    Better to pray for peace.

You have absolutely zero idea what you talking about. Better to just hold your unfounded and uneducated opinion instead of continuing to prove that you have no sense.
