Prominent Jamaican politician indicted by US Grand Jury? Extradition request soon?

Dudus Coke

The Caricom News Network understands that a prominent Jamaican politician has been indicted by the United States authorities, possibly in connection with  the ongoing criminal matter involving reputed drug lord Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke, who is awaiting sentencing in a United States court.

Florida based attorney-at-law, Professor David Rowe, told  host of the Evening Edition’s Lambert Brown on 93FM yesterday, that he has been reliably informed that an indictment has already been handed down and efforts are now been made by US officials to make the necessary arrangements to extradite the person involved.

I am anti-colonial,anti-imperialist,anti-communist,anti-capitalist,anti-socialist.The only way of life i’d rather choose to follow and live up to is the righteous way of JAH,please help me LORD to live up to u.I am saying these things to say that i support no shit-stem,but it is a good thing the U.S.A is here to police those criminal politition who will kill their own and at the same time get involved with criminals once they can finance their political campaigne. For those who blame the white man, stop it.Our black people should not put themselves in a position to be subjected to the white mna’s law. It’s good to have balance so we should be thankful and grateful for the U.S.A for providing us some form of justice otherwise only the little man who would be facing the prisons for drugs and criminal behaviour.

“….I support no shit-stem, but I am glad the U.S.A is there to police the criminal politicians who will kill their own and at the same time get involved with criminals once they can finance their political campaign”.

The USA invaded Panama as a pretext to snatch General Noriega and imprisoned him for drug trafficking and money laundering. The irony is that the United States government was involved in drug trafficking and money laundering to support the Contras in Nicaragua. They illegally sold weapons to Iran via Israel, of all countries. The dozen or so culprits lied to protect President Reagan and were all “pardoned” by President George H.W.Bush who was Vice President to Reagan during the Iran-Contra affair, as that dark episode was called.

The US government sold their crack cocaine and heroin to ghetto youths in Los Angeles, USA. Their targets were black kids. That’s how loving and caring the great USA is. They were the same ones who experimented on black men with syphilis in Tuskegee, Alabama. They introduced gang violence in Jamaica to bring down the pro-Cuba PNC goverment of Michael Manley in an effort to replace him by Edward Seaga of the Jamaica Labour Party. Yes, the same Jamaica Labour Party that protected Dudus. The JLP now flirts with China so the USA is now uncovering their dirt.

This make me sick, when they do the bulling boy tactic. Why did they not indict Bush for invading Irag.
The Caribbean must stop bulling. England gave us independence because we thought for independence, so is the Caribbean now slaves to the big neighbour. She cannot sort out her own criminals, but she want to concentrate on jailing Caribbean people.
all the uncle toms who applauding the harassment of black people shame on all u.

DNO, you reported that a Prominent Jamaican politician was indcted by US Grand Jury, but I have been reliably informed by my source that it is 2 prominent politcians and not one.
I have both names but I will not try to break any news. All I can say is that our local politicians and those who assist law breakers, should be very careful because the US not joking. Infact a total of 5 Jamaicans are involved and the others are, 2entertainers and one business man.

ADMIN: Yes we know…..the story is still developing even as we speak. We also know the names but we are not publishing unless everything has been made official.

not long ago one sent in his resignation and using poor excuse about is time for younger and more energetic person to give their contribution. whom he thought he was fooling. he saw it coming so he did the honorable thing. it would look too bad to hear jamaica’s ……. has benn indicted. i hope our politicians lean from that . resing and face your charge as a private citizen not as minister this or minister that. spearn the country the embarassment.

The thing about the US is they give you a lot of rope until they catch you and they understand that justice delayed is not justice denied.

The US is not like some of our caribbean judges who will allow politicians to behave as though they above the law because they in power. With the US no one is above the law.

Two weeks ago, they (the US) dealt with a St. Lucian Politician and today, it’s a Jamaican whose name is temporarily with held due to the person involved.

This news should send a powerful message to our local politicians who think they are above the law. They should know by now that they are on the US rader and will be dealt with sooner rather than later. They must also remember that when their rather lengthy rope comes to an end, SC or any other Justice…will not be able to deliver them.

that is sooooooo not true. they do crooked stuff all the time. they just dont allow politicians who dont go with the flow to do what they want. look at saudi arabia and israel. very very very crooked governments yet the us does nothing.

Makes me wonder why the PM of Jamaica decided to quit all of a sudden. These Caribbean politicians are out of hand and what we are experiencing is the reincarnation of the dirty African politicians like Mobutu , Hamin and others. I always questioned the reason why the PM fought to extradite Dodus when this guy dodus was know as a ruthless drug king pin.
I liken the situation to the isidore case in Dominica- the golden question is why the police and Tony astaphan fought tooth and nail to deny due process to Mr Isidore. Why the police and Tony Astaphan sabotaged the fire bombing case? Just like Dodus the answer is blowing in the wind – let the winds of Tony and Skerro blow but how long can this wind keep blowing. Soon the wind will be no more and the answers will fall right at the door steps of those who choose to be blind.

Hi, Well based on the information I heard I believed it is Mr Bruce Golding , the former Prime Mininter of Jamaica. We also know that Mr Golding resigned and they put a younger gentleman in his place which would give his party a better chance of winning the up coming election, therefore if his party is in power they will not send him to America. The main question I have is, does American laws trump that of the Caribbean or any other country. Second does Dominica have an extradition treaty with America, I hope not. We cannot just let America dominate us like that when they are the biggest users of drug. Just look at how they allowed so many illegal guns to go to Mexico but was anyone arrested for the guns and all the murders those guns was involved in. I assure you not ,rather they will find some excuse and say it was a rouge agent in the ATF who did not supervised the investigation properly. (Love from NY).

hahaha you like a flunder fish ,un sol. if an american comes to d/ca and kills your son and he happens to leave before the police can get him wouldn’t you be glad that america can extradite him back to dominica to face his charges? you see we are so reactive when we should be pro active.

It’s mind boggling the tons of cocaine and ganja that crosses the US southern border
northbound everyday. Facilitated in a part by corrupt law enforcement and politicians on both side of the border. Add in the hundreds of guns and ammo that go back south over the border funded from the sale of these narcotics. There are border towns in Mexico and YES the US where the Mexican cartel run things with “impunity.” Not to mention how ruthless and deadly their methods are.

Yet the Obama Justice Dept choose to spend scare resources to put Jamaica on show. In the magnitude of the drug trade in the US, Jamaica’s involvement is a “speck.” I’m not condoning drug trafficking at any level, but as we say..”Is Jamaica fence that low.”

    • dominican
      October 12, 2011

is not a matter of fence low . all the time them corrupt politicians making their dirty money jamaica fence was low for him i guess so he was taking advantage . now the table has turned and we want to blast anmerica. what is more hurting is them politicians get diplomatic passport all kinds of concessions and allowances and the real person that working 20 30 and 40 years of the lives for their country cannot even enjoy a proper pension.GOD IS NOT A POLICE ONE BY ONE DIRTY POLITICIANS HAVE THEIR DAY THE LONG ARMS OF THE LAW WILL GET THEM.

like I always say, no matter what position held. no man is ABSOLUTE, all men are prone to err. so well must make it our priority to be vigilant, and don’t think that speaking up is an act of disrespect. we would be disrespecting ourselves to keep silent in the face of wrong…
