Opposition Leader Stephenson King wants St.Lucia’s Ambassador to the United Nations recalled following what he described as an embarrassing ordeal with the island losing its voting rights as a result of outstanding monies owed to the body.

King told a news conference Wednesday that the development was an embarrassment not only for the government but the people of St Lucia.

He said that the excuses being made by Ambassador Menissa Rambally are quite “disappointing and astounding” and she should be immediately recalled. However, Rambally in a call to several media houses here essentially blamed the former Government for the debt situation which the country is faced with as well as the failure to pay the UN dues.

    If u cannot take the heat, get out the kitchen. Blame left, right and center. No personal responsibilities. The twin Islands are being destroyed by people who don’t give crap about the country, only themselves. If they were that political and so educated, the would use better excuses. Especially Vince Henderson.

    You have some much salaries coming from the Government. Get off the Band wagon, and let someone else run it. You are trying to blame the Finance minister, and I bet u the Finance minister is going to blame u. Why don’t you all come together and resign. The ambassador from St Lucia, u are cute, but that is not paying the bills.

    The more someone is poor, the more some people are taking advantage of them and the position they hold. God have mercy on these twin nations. Its seems misery loves company, and monkey see, monkey do. Where do we go from here, Please tell we the people. ‘CAPTAINS, THE SHIPS ARE SINKING”,
    Time to bail off.

    It is rather immature to blame the “former” government for an outstanding bill. When this government took over they also took on the responsibility to clean up the messes of their predecessors. That is why they voted you in to make things better, to pick up where the former left off. This is a pathetic, childish and no-brainer excuse. There should be no excuse. Incompetency is transparent here.

    Any country that need us to vote for them, can foot the bill in my opinion. In the democratic world that we live in, we have to pay to be able to vote; to be a member of the world

    Vince said it was “much ado about nothing”, a la Shakespeare. I say it is a clear “Comedy of errors”. Next Level mentality. I wonder if it was his salary that was not paid, would he be as cavalier and uncaring as he is now. Vince my boy, do your degree and chou poule!!!!!

    Tell the children we have running governments in Dca and St. Lucia to get their passifier and stop crying. Pay your damn debt and quit pointing fingers. My 5 years old knows better than that because crying will not solve the problem. PAY THE DAMN DEBT!

    ***A BILL IS A BILL***

    It does not matter which government created the bill. THIS BILL MUST BE PAID!!

    No need to blame the previous government. They are not the one who is in power now. They are not the ones seating at the UN!!

    Neddless to say the ambassador’s comment is shameful!!

    Just like us with ambassador Vince Henderson is anyone going to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!

    What do these people do there anyway that not even a simple office dues [bill payment] they can manage?????

    You ambassadors;
    Vince Henderson, Menissa Rambally & the likes are just ……embarassing!!

    -Thanks
