Dahman, my blinkers came off this christmas when I saw the long line outside Cambioman and people at the port collecting barrels. It came to me that none of the money remitted from overseas, or the barrels sent to u originated from Venezuela, Cuba or China but primarily the good old U.S.A., Canada and the U.K. I reflected then that the largesse bestowed on mr. Skerrit by papa Chavez does not come in Bolivars but in good old U.S.$., preferrably in the form of “largan ches”. And then we conveniently forget the contributions of the E.U., lauded by mr. Skerrit himself as our largest single donor. We can be critical of the “West” and so we should but that does not mean that, at the same time we should kick them in the shins.
