West Indian carnival president strongly condemns violence

Lezama-Clark

The Trinidadian-born president of the Brooklyn-based West Indian American Day Carnival Association, Inc. (WIADCA) has strongly condemned the violence that took place over the Labor Day weekend, marring the carnival parade on Brooklyn’s Eastern Parkway.

“The perpetrators of these acts of violence should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Yolanda Lezama-Clark said.

Hey, my friend, don’t be ignorant!! Carnival is a sin!! it worship the flesh and it’s not pleasing to God… so the consequences of those who are committing this sin is death (Romans 6:23), and what brings about death? violence…so if you wish to condemn violence, stop with the fete and self worshiping (2 Timothy 3:2 ), God is a jealous God…soon you’ll say you condemns sex and teenage pregnancy, but is during carnival the flesh is shown the most and the lustful act of man is committed!!

      @ Sin Brings Death

Carnival as dances are not sinful. It is the manner in which people conduct themselves at that time and their mode of attire which are sinful.
God expects that we will have some fun which is clean fun. Sadly so some people have turned it into what it should not be, if you know what I mean.
Who are you anyway? Are you insinuating that you never sinned and are not sinning and that you never felt lust for someone, if you are especially a man?
Do you not worship your loved one including the pictures of yourself and your loved ones? Some of you are so hypocritical. St. Paul wrote about people as you.
Saints are in Heaven. There are none on earth. All have fallen short of God’s glory. You are no exception.

This city averages some 400 murders annually, and this is considered to be a good year crime-wise. When the number of murdered victims inches near 450 to 500 mark, the politicans and law enforcement officials sound the panic alarm and they implement all sorts of changes to address and reduce crime.
While this Labor Davy festiviites was marred by gun-violence, let’s not make it seem as if Labor Day’s violence is the only violence that the city experiences daily.

They are working very hard to keep revelers away and they have done a good job the police need to teach those criminals that New York is not a war zone
