“… all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” Revelation 2:23b
Judgement has begun in the house of the Lord. God is trying the reins and hearts of people who bear His name.
It is said that the late Lester Sumrall said that the greatest enemy to the church in the last days will be the spirit of Jezebel.
Jezebel was a wicked queen in the Bible who ruled through witchcraft, using manipulation, intimidation, control and domination to do wickedness against the prophets of God and who worshipped Baal. Jezebelic personalities are on a rampage in all areas of society all around the world -in governments, schools, workplaces, social clubs and families. This Jezebel spirit is bringing to ruins the lives of many innocent victims especially in the church and seeking to silence the true prophets of God. In order to not let the spirit of Jezebel control your life you must first know how to identify this spirit.
The Jezebel spirit can work in both male and female personalities but is more prevalent in females. Jezebel is a master seducer. Before Jezebel can control she must first seduce and this she does with smooth words, promises and vain words.
Jezebel seeks for those who are hurt, weak, rebellious and wounded and tries to enslave them into her net of deceit. Jezebel’s aim to make her victims so dependent on her that they then become her eunuch and carry out all her evil plots and plans. The Hebrew word for “eunuch” is (cariyc) and this is a castrated person and keeper of the bedchamber (chamberlain).
Jezebel’s eunuchs are used like guards and messengers to deliver all her messages do her dirty work. They know that some of the things that they are asked to do are wrong but just do not have the spiritual strength to say no. In actuality Jezebels are very insecure individuals who are full of anxiety but they gather strength from their ability to control people.
In 1 Kings 19:2 Jezebel sent a message to Elijah by one of her messengers. “Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.” Jezebel’s eunuchs do not think on their own. They depend on Jezebel to tell them what to do, where to go and do nothing unless first checking with Jezebel. This is bondage.
Jezebel’s eunuchs are always seeking to please Jezebel. They are like spies, gathering information, making unrealistic sacrifices and doing all they can to keep Jezebel happy and fulfill her cause.
Many people when they hear about witchcraft they think about black cats, burning candles and witches on brooms. But when someone has the ability to take away your will and all you do is what they tell you to do, it is a definite sign of witchcraft. God did not make us robots. Although He wants us to serve Him, he never forces He gives us a free choice. Beware of anyone who is always trying to control your life and gets angry the moment you say no to them. Jezebels never see themselves as being wrong and their explanations and words are always twisted. If you deal with such people in any setting make sure that you document things and keep copies because today they say something and tomorrow when the topic comes up again, especially if there is a problem, they will accuse you of misunderstanding what they said yesterday. Jezebels and their eunuch will pray psalms against the righteous, or pray prayers in accordance with their wills to control and not God’s will.
God is bringing swift judgment against Jezebels in the Body of Christ. Those who serve and worship Jezebel has placed such persons above God in their lives. They no longer do what God says but more often what Jezebel says or what Jezebel prophesies. However, just as the word of God says in Revelation 2:20 “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols” – Jezebels are very much influenced by Baal which is the god of divination.
God is merciful and it is not His will that any perish. However, if Jezebels and their eunuchs refuse to repent this is what is stated in Revelation 2:21-23 “And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” The adultery talked about here is spiritual adultery (things done outside of the precepts of God and His Word). God says in verse 23 of Revelation 2, that all the churches shall know. This is neither the time or season to ‘play church’ for judgement has begun in the house of the Lord.
God is calling not only Jezebels but also their eunuchs to repent! “And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trod her under foot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter. And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.” 2 Kings 9:33-35

What God does in our world today He does through human beings. As Christians we want to make ourselves available to Him and let Him use us.
On the other hand what Satan does he also does through human beings. There is a certain demonic influence Pastor Richardson has identified as ”the spirit of Jezebel” that takes control of men and women and uses them to influence and bring down others.
This spirit (or spiritual influence) brought to bear by the activity of demons not only targets individuals. It
invades churches. We have known of witches who would sit in a congregation and pray (to the devil of course) to release this negative influence on the people.
The spirit of Jezebel has two characteristics: sexual immorality and false doctrine.
