Leaders of church ministries in Dominica and the Caribbean may be able to earn a degree by following a program being offered in Dominica.
The St. Claire College of Ministries of the United States has begun plans to establish a college in Dominica.
Dr. St. Claire Michel, a founding member of the Dominica headquarters who is also Dominican, said “we believe leadership is the key to the next century and that as goes the leader, so goes the institution”.
He said leadership is critical and his organization has a strong belief in training leaders in the church.
Orientation was held on Monday and classes will be offered through the internet. Those who are not internet savvy will be given computer classes.
He said intensive Saturday seminars and independent studies will also be available
Dr. Michel said “there will be no reason why anyone who wants a degree in studies can’t get it.”
Meantime head of the Peoples Pentecostal Assemblies in Dominica Bishop Bill Daniel says local pastors here will be taken to a higher level.
He said the opportunity is not restricted to only evangelical pastors.
God’s people should represent him in the best way possible. Those classes are just going to help us to become better representative for the kingdom of God. We educate ourselves in everything else but the word of God. Think on that. It’s sad, but I see my country remain the same until we get rid of petty jealousy and embrace the good that comes our Way. Why do you send your kids to get a higher education? And even abroad? Be wise and free yourselves from the spirits of jealousy pride, hatred, gossip, and malice.
