Pastor Bernard Joseph is in hot water as accusations of alleged infidelity surface against him.
The popular evangelists of the Lifeline Christian Fellowship (LCF) of Portsmouth and spiritual advisor to the Dominica government have reportedly confessed to having a prolonged affair with a member of his church.
This information is coming from investigative journalist, Lennox Linton who is the host of the popular Saturday afternoon “Between You and Me” talk show on Q95.
The lady, a former Miss Dominica Carnival Queen, also allegedly confessed to the secret affair.
Attempt to reach the pastor have proven futile as he is reported to be overseas.

This man is such a disgrace. I really hope he is held accountable for church monies that did not belong to him.
It is really sad that such so called ministers attract so much negative publicity and bring such shame in what they call “the ministry or work of the Lord”. God is cleaning his church and he will raise a new crop. We just have to pray and let God have his way. For seven years this man has been ministering to these people…for seven years that devil has taken over this church… God is tired and is doing his work people! I feel so embarrassed and ashamed for his wife… a normal human reaction in a situation like this would be anger, wrath not only at the other woman involved but mostly towards your husband yet she has made a fool of herself and acts like a superhuman… shameful and pathetic! Gloria, BJ does not love you nor does he have any respect for you nor your kids. Most men when they cheat, they do it outside of their home and hide from their wifes however he thinks that you are so naive and knows that you adore him so much he brought it right to your home. The glory of God has departed from this man a long time ago. He has backsliden and needs to repent. This pastor needs to be investigated and arrested for these illegal acts regarding the church funds and in the mean time he needs be monitored so he won’t flee the country.

My Past
I grew up as a strong believer in the catholic faith. It was not so much that it was a strict rule at home that I was a staunch Catholic but it was my way of expressing myself and being involved in my community. Most of the times, it was more about the religion and its practices and not a relationship with Jesus Christ. By the age of 18, religion could not do it for me any longer and I literally moved from the front seat to the back seat of the church. At age 20, after living a year abroad, I was convinced by friends to contest the Miss Dominica Pageant. They felt it was a sure and easy way to get a car to ‘lime’. We were certain that achieving this was possible for me because I was no stranger to the stage. And so, in February of 2001 I contested the Miss Dominica pageant and won. My life, already on a down-hill turn continued spiraling downwards even further. I found myself liking to party and drink. I threw out my desire to be pure until marriage and took my freedom to new heights.
The Façade
I was well known and had lots of so- called friends but inside I was a very lonely person. One of the worst things for me was my facade. I created an image of myself so that I did not have to expose the real me. The person inside that was lost, lonely and totally confused. Sometimes I would be in the dancehall and I knew in my heart that it was not the place for me. I just could not be satisfied with all the fun that I was having. My life was aimless and I would be crying out on the inside for more than just that.
God’s Plan unfolds
God had a plan for my life! He was working behind the scenes to rescue me. I faced a time in my life when things became extremely difficult because I had important choices to make and I made the wrong ones. My back was against the wall and the only person I could have possibly turned to was God. So finally, in December of 2001, even before the end of my reign as Miss Dominica, I surrendered my life to Christ at a Christmas party. Life has never been the same. In 2003, I became acquainted with Lifeline Christian Fellowship and decided to make it my church home. I can testify that God has been faithful to me. It has been a process for me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. However, I have made much progress under this wonderful ministry and today I have the awesome opportunity of being fully involved in the life of my church. I am persuaded that when God has a plan for your life (and He does have a plan for everyone of us) He will stop at nothing to see it come through. Still, the most important part is acceptance of His grace. My encouragement, therefore, is that you would accept the work of God’s grace in your life and see Him work wonders to help you become the person that you were created to be. Trust God and watch your dreams unfold before your very eyes. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed because I know that God never ever fails.

I remember back in 1988 there was a calypso “ give me Catholic” this calypso remain very meaningful to me. The calypso reminds me that I must all remain humble and never think that I am more worthy of god’s blessing than anybody else. You claim to be “born again” and “filled with the Holy Ghost” or that “you are not of the flesh.” My question to you is Pastor, how comes this doctrine failed to address your plight for many years? You claim to follow Jesus Christ peace be upon him yet, Jesus (p) never got married thus what practical example do you have regarding marital life, it’s challenges or about women? Where is the perfect role model for you in that regard? Where is an example from Jesus (p) regarding a heavenly marriage which he lived and showed an example to the world? The answer if you are honest is that Christianity has none of fall back on. They have blasphemed against all the noble prophets of Allah like David (p) accusing him of adultery or Lot (p) of incest etc.
However pastor if you have to look at the life of Muhammad (p) you will see that he was a judge, husband, father, companion and all the exemplary prophetic characteristics. Pastor Joseph, assuming that you are married, wouldn’t it be better if you have the means to deal with two wives with equity and justice you marry another wife? Wouldn’t it be better to put your cards on the table from the very beginning and save yourself from disgrace and ruin? Which one is better, having one wife and a play thing or mistress where the mistress is deprived and violating many of her rights or a man having two wives where the time, resources etc are justly distributed?
In conclusion Pastor Joseph, I implore you to use this incident as a learning experience. Do not let the negative comments break you down. Take a spiritual journey within yourself, look into Islam with an open heart, see if it is an alternative for you. This is solely between you and All Mighty Allah.

This has been no secret. The members of Lifeline knew about this and other prominent members of their church. Are they serving God or man? How many of them approached the Pastor and told him that he kept the young lady too close? Did they talk to the lady? Are they talking to the other one who has affairs outside? The Pastor in his role as leader should be placed on probation to reflect. The church members need to stop serving BJ and serve God. SOmetimes God allows things to let people know that He is not happy. I not only blame BJ, I blame the church. I know people who go there who knew or suspected. Don’t be scared. Just always remember that your focus and your faith should be in God and not in men. As a young Christian learn to read the bible for yourself. His spirit will help you to discern truth from lies. Many young Christians are deceived by some who seek to “teach” them things that appear Godly but not of GOd. If your Pastor or Elder wants you around him too much it should raise a red flag. This is a lesson for you as a young Christian- Seek God with everything you have and try those Spirits because not all who say Lord Lord will enter into the Kingdom.

I am a Catholic and I make this comment with an open heart…We are all God’s children. We all sin and need God’s guidance. Sin is sin. They both sinned and need to repent for it, but who are we to judge them? To each is own. The both of you need to be genuine to God about your confession and ask for forgiveness.

I understand that we all are capable of making mistakes. However, for those of us who know this man well, it makes us look at this differently. He is so self righteous. They are always quick to condemn. What a shame. This is no respect for your wife your congregation and most especially for our God you claim to serve. I am looking at this situation and wondering what are those so called men and women who claim to be leading God’s people doing? It is an outright shame.
