Voice of Life to host “Youth Meet Up”

youth meet up

The Voice of Life Radio has organized a Youth Meet Up as part of International Youth Day 2015 recognition, this August 12, 2015.

We note that the youth are a vibrant and essential life force of any nation, organization or family.

We are using this opportunity to work with local church youth groups and we hope that this will be the start of a wonderful working relationship between the Station and youth groups.

We have been inviting young people to send us clips, which could be a greeting to friends or others wishing them a Happy International Youth Day or expressing challenges or blessings that youth enjoy.

We are inviting the young people to be open as we seek to meet them in Phase Two based on what we receive from you.

These clips will be played throughout the day from 5a.m. to 9p.m. on Wednesday August 12th, 2015.

We invite the young people to, of course, quote Scripture on youth but encourage creativity where they can speak of the Scripture from a practical perspective, for example, using the Scripture: Let no man despise thy youth. (1Tim 4:12). A recording could say: Don’t criticize my errors because I am young. I am still learning and with your help I will better be able to fulfill what God has planned for my life (1 Tim 4:12).

In the second phase of our Day’s recognition, we have invited youth groups to the Voice of Life Radio’s grounds from 6p.m. to 9p.m.

We will then entertain an open-mic discussion between the groups and Bro Gairy Didier, Senior Announcer and Program Director of Voice of Life Radio.

This will be an interactive forum, so youth will be given the chance to speak freely. We will discuss issues affecting the youth in church, at home, at school, at work, etc. Youth can also discuss challenges and speak to the effect of how best adult Christians can make their situations more bearable.

We look forward to starting at 6p.m. promptly, with Praise and Worship and a brief exhortation, to be followed by discussions and intermittent musical entertainments.

All youth are invited to attend.

Excellent. I hope that the youth will partake of this event tomorrow. Folks let us encourage youth towards nation building. It is only through faith-based groups and outreaches that a country’s crime stoppers will not receive many calls :) Big up Voice of life. Hope to hear more such events from churches.

Great initiative to bring the youth together. A modest and Christian alternative is what pleases God. God bless the Voice of Life Radio.
