Ricardo Drue to be buried on January 9

Ricardo Drue

Nicola Barriteau, the mother of Soca artiste Ricardo Drue, has recently released detailed information about his funeral arrangements.

According to her statement, the funeral service of the popular artiste will be held on January 9, at the Holy Family Cathedral on his home island of Antigua.

The service is scheduled to start at 1 pm.

This is the first time that Barriteau has made any public comments since Drue’s sudden death last month.

In her statement, she expressed her gratitude to the public for the outpouring of love and support that the family has received.

Barriteau also acknowledged that the family is still coming to terms with the loss of their beloved son and that there are no words to express the overwhelming love and support they have received.

She further added that while the family wishes they could turn back time and have him back, they understand that death is a harsh reality of life, and they take comfort in knowing that the Almighty is in full control.

Ricardo Drue, known for songs like “Vagabond” and “Toxic Love,” passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 38.

The cause of his death has not been released to the public. Despite the tragic loss, his legacy in the music industry will be remembered by his fans worldwide.
