Glow-Danny “Sky Juice” Sandy of Canefield has pleaded guilty to beating his former lover after she refused to sleep with him.
He appeared in court on Tuesday and was slapped with an $800 fine to be paid by November or spend three months in jail.
Reports are that Sandy went to JR’s Bar on September 30 in Roseau where he met his former girl friend.
“Come with me, come sleep with me and I can give you anything,” he implored.
But his supplications fell on deaf ears and the woman exited the establishment.
The court was told that he followed her, grabbed her by the neck and hair and punched her several times.
The police were called and Sandy was detained.
In court Sandy said he was just trying to help his ex-lover. “She following bad company and is involved in drugs,” he claimed. “I wanted to assist her.”
But Magistrate Candia Carette George would hear none of it. “Your love too strong…you need to let go, control yourself and your passion and leave the woman alone,” she said.
Woman on drug so man say he want to help… by what?!!!! BEATING HER! Cheups. Let no man beat me see how they waking up with missing body parts.

“Your love too strong?”this is absurd coming from a magistrate. Sound like talk from street corner. What aboit words like possessive, vioalation, physical abuse. Seem to me that telling the defendant that his love too strong is somilar to telling the guy that he has a gwo pwel.

Judge you need to be educated! What makes matters worse you are a woman. Violence aginst women is unacceptable. Skyjuice will only get worse. Soon, if not already, he will rape and murder. He beat the woman up, injured her and he only got a fine? He should have been sent to prison. The sentence should have been no less than six months, if not more than six months.

The magistrate made a poor remark. Violence is totally incongruous to love. One can be angry without being violent. Her remark is quite contrary to the utterances of alix intellectual knight.
The magistrate is actually upholding violence but at least she charged the guy.

The court is not her bed room. She was serious, otherwise she would have given him jail and over $5,000 fine. Immagine, a man got 3 months jail for stealing one coconut.
