The marquee matchup took place on Sunday with league bottom dwellers but crowd favorite Mallys Taxi Old School needing at least a draw against Fredos Taxi Gunnerz United to keep their qualification hopes alive
The veteran squad, although without the services of star player Randolph Peltier, appeared poised for the challenge and quickly regained their composure and parity after falling behind early in the match.
A tense and tactical first half continued with both teams converting further chances.
Urged on by the crowds, the seemingly rejuvenated Old School resumed their challenge after the break. But unfortunately, the Delsol brothers and the rest of the Gunnerz had other plans, spurning off the vets valiant efforts, whilst netting a pair of their own, with a late consolation penalty being Old School’s only second half reward.
