Is it that we are not creative enough to come up with suitable names for our local basketball teams why we always have to come up with names of already registered American basketball teams like Blazers, Raptors, Knicks etc? This to me is saying that we are not able to create names for our teams. Come on guys we are smarter than that. The DABA should look into that and try to guide our young people so they could be a little more creative. I don’t hear our local cricket teams or football teams naming their village team after International teams and therefore I quiet sure our basketball teams could follow that same pattern. This is not a criticizen but an observation.
