Jamaica sprinter, Usain Bolt, has created history at the Rio Olympics by becoming the first man to win the 100 metres dash for the 3rd consecutive time.
He did it in 9.81 seconds. In second place was Justin Gatlin of the USA with a time of 9.89.
Andre De Grasse of Canada took bronze in 9.91 seconds.
Bolt is the first man to hold both the 100 metres and 200 metres world records since fully automatic time became mandatory. He also holds the world record in the 4 x 100 metres relay. He is the reigning World and Olympic champion in these three events.
Bolt will also be defending his gold medals in the 200 metres and 4 x 100 metres events in Rio, this week.
