Dominican Shane Shillingford created history at the Windsor Park on Thursday when he took ten wickets in the final Digicel Test.
This feat has never been done on home soil.
He is the first West Indian spinner to haul ten wickets in a Test match since Lance Gibbs in 1966 in England.
KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB,REMEMBER THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION OF DOMINICA IS SUPPORTING YOU. KEEP ONTOP OF YOUR GAME.

Last sentence is not correct… roach took a ten wicket haul last test match!
The last sentence is correct……the first West Indian “SPINNER”.
roach is a fast bowler and shane is a spinner.SPINNER
Learn to read and understand the last line said
“He is the first West Indian spinner to haul ten wickets in a Test match since Lance Gibbs in 1966 in England.”
IT SAID SPINNER….ROACH IS A FAST BOWLER.
WELL MY BOY AS A TRUE DOMINICAN I DO BELIEVE IF YOU BROKE A RECORD THAT’S 10 LONG YRS OLD I DO BELIEVE THOSE IN HIGHER POSITION THAN ME CAUSE I HAVE NOTHING SHOULD REWARD YOU FOR JOB WELL DONE. AM NOT COMPARING YOU WITH NO ONE.GOOD JOB AND DON’T FORGET WHERE YOU COME FROM.KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK. I JUST CAME FROM WORK SO AM DRINKING THAT COORS LIGHT I PROMISE TOO AND WEEKEND I WILL PARTY HARDER.

What does that mean? We winning?
Congrats Shane!! Keep making Dominica proud…win, lose or draw we’ll continue to support this son of the soil!
He is the second West Indian after Lance Gibbs – where were your thoughts?
who is the first after Lance Gibbs?
gooooooooo shane
Congrats to you Shane. His career in cricket started at the Nehemiah Comprehensive school with Irving Shillingford being paid by the school to coach the cricket team of which he was part. Discipline, which you held on to was key in the time you spent at the school. Shane has continued to be disciplined and patient and that is the key to his success. Many talented young cricketers played against Shane in the under 19 secondary schools cricket competitions. However the discipline required to succeed was not found in them. In spite of his short coming he took advice to be humble and patient. Great success
that is some good rounders Shane. keep it up.
You go shane, continue to make Dominica proud
You know, I am here reading the news about Shane and it’s just nice to know that we have talent in DA. I can remember the days of Grayson Irvin Sebo who is right now commenting and a matter of fact several of our DA cricketers of the 60’s and 70’s could have played for the WI side but the selectors for what ever reason never gave them a chance. I do not want anyone to bash me for the statement I am about to make; but in those days the selectors thought that good players only came from the (BIG 4.) I would just like to congratulate Shane on a job well done. Now lets hope the batsmen can now keep their eyes on the big price. There is no reason why they cannot make the score with just a little nder two days to go.
good job shana keep it up you mada us pound
i there crying and hear my co-worker what happen to u girl hear me shane just made Dominica proud long tears
alas you want a bucket and a bath towel? mind you cry out your eye wi.
Kemar roach took 10 wkts in the 2nd test
kemer roach is not a DOMINICAN, HE IS A LONG TIME PLAYER, HE IS NOT A SPINNER, HE IS USED TO PLAYING TEST AND ONE DAY,S.
SHANE IS THE FIRST DOMINICAN DOMINICAN TO BE GIVEN A CHANCE TO PROVE HIS CRICKET ABILITIES.
you should encourage him, maybe windies could win a game with shane onboard..
I’m lost cause i know nothing about cricket…10 wickets? meaning what?
Google it babe, then come back and join the convo
OH PLEASE. EVEN IF U DOE KNW BOUT CRICKET U DOE KNOW WAT IS TEN WICKETS DUMB DAT MAKE U MAN GIMME A BREAK
chile…das why they created google..for people like you. Mark you, all i said was ‘people.’

AMEN! WEST INDIES CRICKET NEEDS MORE DOMINICANS! WE HAVE TALENT TOO! CONGRATS SHANE!

Well Done, Shane. You made us proud
Shane shattered a 46 year record!!! 10 wickets!!
Hurray for Shane!
west indies still losing wi shane…
lol
Go shane Go wow my nose get long wi papa we need to give him something pls
Now this young man deserve a piece of land from the government or a sucsessful business owner in Dominica for his talent and contribution to the sports of cricket in Dominica and the West Indies on a whole. Congrats
i got 7 ones in my cxc, i deserve a piece of land too.
if u had get 12 ones then we could have considered that.
LOL TELL UR PARENTS REWARD U FOR THOSE ONES
Congrats to you.Now go and learn to play cricket or find a job.
I support Dat….Dice get land so Shane have to get his piece to….just saying
Why mention Dice and not Shanderpaul who was made a citizen just like that. Is Dice much less of a person? just asking.
Give him piece from yours! You all always calling on someone else to do things. Take initiative and do something yourself!
Good job Shane… BUt of you want him to receive land for this, don;t call on Gov’t or another business owner. DO it yourself. Bake him a cake or something. DO what you can. STOP TELLING OTHERS WHAT TO DO !!!
“JustSay” I agree, with you, if got 3 A’s at A levels, i should get a piece of land too.. lol..
Must be a very bitter person to deny someone something they deserve, now if he had not taken any wickets you would be running your mouth like the roseau river. Shut the hell up and stop thinking down.Think up
Lara got piece, from Nassif. Why not shane too?
proud of you my boy
Great job Shane! You made us proud though in a losing cause.
Last year, Chanderpaul made history by becominig the first batsman to score a 100 test runs at the Windsor park. For that he was rewarded with Dominican citizenship. Since Shane is the first to grab a 10 wicket haul in Dominica and Shane is a Dominican, I hope he will be rewarded with a diplomatic passport and keys to the $27, millon state palace.
what???!!!
hole
As I see it, I see it de same way too……Skeritt like to throw around our sovereignty like it doh have no value when foreigners do things in our country…….hope he set Shane up too….
Great stuff!!! Hard work pays off keep on working hard.
oh yeah thats a major contribution
we need to see some meaningful and tangible portrait/bust of dr shane shillingford somewhere in the capital city of roseau. his feat is simply unbeleievable he is now a giant in the game !
all the best to this emerging icon
he will not always be on top of his game and the moment he drops we may have all kinds of things to say
we have to continue to pray for him and give him all the support that he deserves
all the best and we all west indians are all proud of you.
Dublanc!
Go Dulanc!
