Caribbean officials to face FIFA Ethics Committee next month over bribery allegations

The eagerly awaited hearing into 15 Caribbean officials charged for their alleged involvement in football’s most infamous cash-for-votes scandal is expected to take place between October 10 and 14, insideworldfootball has learned.

The 15 are all under investigation after attending Mohamed Bin Hammam’s campaign visit to Trinidad in May at the time he was still planning to take on Sepp Blatter for the FIFA Presidency.

A source close to FIFA’s Ethics Committee told insideworldfootball that the 15 are almost certain to be summoned to FIFA headquarters in Zurich at the Committee’s scheduled October meeting to answer charges relating to $40,000 (£25,000/€29,000) bribes allegedly offered by Bin Hammam.

this will affect all of caribbean football. our dfa was so quick to defend jack when he was being investigated. now 15 of our fellow associations are in the same situation and no comment from our dfa? wonder why.

Fifa has not mentioned dfa. why? is it because we are innocent? If so great. or is it because we have been tried found guilty and just awaiting sentence together with the other 15. Fifa is on a clean up move and will convict all it suspects. remeber this is blatter last term and he does not have to be nice because he is not up for re-election. Our dfa staying quiet will not help.

Pity FIFA cant jail all of them with Jack Warner the head convict leading the way to jail in handcuffs. What a satisfying sight that would be.
