Meanwhile, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has maintained that, in the interest of the game, special offers to youngsters and senior citizens that were introduced last year will remain in place. Children 16 years and under, wishing to attend the Test Match will enter free, once they present a child’s ticket and are accompanied by a paying adult. Each adult purchasing a ticket will be entitled to receive up to five children’s tickets at no cost, while stocks last. Children must be 16 or under at the time of purchase or entrance to the game.
The special incentive to senior citizens applies to persons born before March 16, 1952. March 16 was the start date of the current series and persons must have turned 60 prior to this date. A valid identification card is required in order to obtain a ticket and each senior citizen will qualify for one free ticket for each day of play.
YAY!!!!!
Alas I so like my cricket but won’t be able to see them perfom live will be stuck at work but thanks for internet will be watching there everytime I get a chance
WI havnt won anything so i dont understand how allu saying the team looking good, matches drew is still a failure, secondly test match cricket is totally different from one dayers, WI dont have the patience and the depth in batting/bowling to beat Australia,WI need a captain when i look at the statistic’s of our captain the man is not good enough in my books…..test cricket is fading slowly…
What’s your problem fool? Get a life andstop your shit fool. Hence the reason for our downfall. NAGATIVITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!fool!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant find any reason for this : a match being played in Dominica without a weekend, the cricket officials knows that is during the weekend they are having bumper crowds going to any stadium during these events. Now the match is being played during the week-days, just for them to say “Look we have given Dominican a match and it was’nt successfull, re crowd partisipation”.I think that they are testing Dominicans, let us dissapoint them, let’s fill up the stadium in large numbers so that they will think differently when arrangeind another game in Dominica. “I say, come on cricket lovers , fill up the stadium , for I will be there through out the games”
This is unfair to some of us the citizens who have stayed here to help build the country by paying taxes and contributing to the social security scheme. All these returnees and who edid not contribute to social security is benefitting from free medical care here although they can also benefit freely in countries like England where some of them lived. Now they are going to benefit free tickets for the cricket when they do get a pension and have no loans on their house, plus they do rent to tenants. There are so many retirees inthis country,i guess those of us who do not have the priviledge of free tickets should leave the spaces for them, they’ll be enough to full the stadium.
Also is there an online seating plan of the stadium
over 60’s. Can we pick our seats ?? or do we have to have whats given. ?? Will be there
regardless. Looking forward to this.
alas I hope they win wii….I tired of the W’indies losing spree….I remember the days of Carl Hooper and Brian Lara ( I’m a child of the mid 80’s ehh lol) and watching cricket used to be so much fun and edge of your seat entertainment….I’ll be at the Windsor Park to see the game…PRAYING FOR A WIN!!!!
Yeah, but Hooper was a player who never lived up to expectation. He was supposed to have been a batting all rounder, but never really blossomed. He was a stylish batsman anyway with textbook strokes, but he was not a big success story. He also bowled off breaks. Some people used to say he bowled “lollipops”. Commentators like Boycott.
I LIKE THE ATTITUDE OF THE CURRENT TEAM. IT’S GOOD!
Wop, Wop…. Hopfully i’ll be here with my Dominica flag.
Ohhh yeaahhhh!! Cricket lovely cricket.
I will surely be there to support Sammy and the boys. Wow if what i saw in the limited version of the game is going to be displayed by the West Indies in the test matches, well i anticipate a series win for the Windies.
These cricketers have confidence in themselves and i am certain that they can upset the Aussies.
Coach Gibson my friend, you are doing a fantastically wonderful job with these players. Keep it up brother! I am giving you your flowers every opportunity that i get, and i refuse to let you die before i do so. You took the team as a hopeless schoolboy team playing on the roadside or on the beach, and now i am seeing signs that “In time to come we will dominate world cricket again”. “in time to come Sammy will be a great captain”. “In time to come, your detractors will be ashamed of themselves”.RALLY ROUND THE WEST INDIES! CRICKET LOVELY CRICKET!
Agreed! But they are still a work in progress but the signs are looking up! One area that needs to improve is their strategy throw different line ups at the other team fight fire with fire the bating needs some catching up to do and the guys have to believe in them selves and show that their ability to deal with pressure situations meet the test of their will power to win. With this series so far so good. Enough for me to re consider to come home and support Dominica and the West Indies. See you all soon.
