RESULTS OF GAMES PLAYED ON THURSDAY 1st JUNE 2010

Unfortunately there was no play,  due to the heavy downpour of rain. Both games were called off and are to be rescheduled for a later date.

RESULTS OF GAMES PLAYED ON FRIDAY 2nd JUNE 2010

The evening match-ups featured four 1st Division teams.

In the first game, the red hot undefeated Raffoul Snippers took on the struggling Bulls Eye Pharmacy Pistons. The game started 45 minutes late due to the late arrival of the Pistons team and the official Time keeper. However this did not amper the excitement of what was expected of the the Snippers team. The game was close and competitive for the first three quarters. In the fourth quarter the Snippers team showed why they were the favourites and displayed why they were the only unbeaten team in Division one in a remarkable turn-around led by Lenin Paul and Hendricks Holsborough. The valiant efforts of David Xavier and Kijuan Thomas made things difficult for the Snippers defenders but their efforts weren’t enough.

The second match up  featured the ever improving DCP Original X Men and the winless Laplain Shockers. The X-Men took advantage  of the absence of Shockers top scorer Kwamie Euzebe who was on tour with the national  team. the X-Men had the Shockers team searching for answers as they opened up a twenty point lead in the first half. Led by Rodrick Blaize and Croy Corbette, the Shockers made a remarkable run which narrowed the X-Men lead to just seven. However, led by veteran Shamber Leblanc and sharp shooter Damian Sorhaindo, the X-Men stood resolute and made a final run which ended any hopes of a Shockers victory.
