DABA to host first U-17 Basketball Festival

In keeping with its commitment to promote and develop youth in the sport of basketball, the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association (DABA) will be hosting its first Under-17 Basketball Festival on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth from 3pm to 10pm.

This will be the first in a series of festivals to be held across the country to showcase the young, budding talent.

All Under-17 teams, clubs, and individual players are invited to participate.

Activities will include 3-point shootout, lay-up contest, 3×3 challenge, speed dribbling competition and more.

The festival will also feature various guest speakers who will encourage the young ballers to commit to the sport.

All teams and clubs are asked to be in uniform.

For those needing transportation from the south of the island, a bus will be leaving the Dominica Grammar School grounds at 1pm.

Interested participants are asked to contact the DABA via email ([email protected] ) or telephone (1-767-295-6508 or 1-767-225-1287) so that final arrangement can be made.
