Dominica is host of Regional Netball Festival

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Sports Division will host the 2^nd Annual Regional 13 & Under Netball Festival from August 15 – 19, 2010 in the town of Portsmouth.

Four teams will participate in this year’s festival – Antigua, Anguilla, Dominica A and  Dominica B.   The opening ceremony of this festival will take place at the Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth on Sunday, August 15 from 4:00 pm and the teams will hear brief remarks from the Ministry of Sports and other officials.

Following this ceremony, the first match will take place between Dominica B and Antigua at 5:00 pm and this will be followed by the second match between Dominica A and Anguilla at 6:00 pm.

St. Kitts and Nevis, the reigning champion team could not participate in this year’s league due financial difficulties.
