Dominican at beach volleyball coaching course in Dominican Republic

Julian Seraphine left Dominica yesterday to participate in a beach volleyball coaches course to be conducted at the FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Centre in Santo Domingo.

The week-long course is being offered by the North and Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA), in an effort to promote the development of beach volleyball in the region. The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) is meeting all costs for the Dominican coach, including airfare, accommodation, meals and registration fees.

Meanwhile, two male and two female beach volleyball pairs are schedule to represent Dominican in an FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship qualifier to be held in Antigua from November 18-21. The pairs of Ronald Burno and David Toussaint and Ray Robinson and Lincoln Riviere are the men’s teams selected, while Catherine Francis and Lenel Williams, and Marcia Gustave and Lorainne Lockhart will represent the women at the regional competition.

All expenses, including airfare, accommodation and meals will be met by the FIVB and NORCECA.
