Hey I’m Jacqueve… I’m 19… Some of the players I played against have been playing basketball longer than I have and have the same body build as I do… People don’t get better playing against the same level of competition… I believe the only reason college keeps on winning is because of heart and dedication… We only beat grandbay by 4 points this year and they lost against PSS… Any school in Dominica has the same potential to beat college… These young boys need to take their sport seriously… I want to see this sport thrive in my island and only through hard work will these young guys learn and blossom…

CONGRATS ! Again dominance ! another indication why the Dominica state college should not compete in any sporting discipline together with secondary schools I think it is not a level playing field.DSC should compete in the national leagues of the different disciplines. You may have 13 years old playing against !7 and 18 years olds. Not fair!
Create a more competitive avenue for the Dsc>So in retropect this championship does not mean anything, when you think of the development of sports.Or are we just concern about winning at any cost or sports development?
To add to sports development we as sports lovers or sports developers should not have to wait for an international federation like for instance FIBA to tell us that we should run a league for 15 year old and under .that is ashame.Basketball festival is what is being done .What a joke!Is sports division serious? This is the age range to nurture ,develop and instill discipline in players .But no one in the division would listen,Now we coming on the radio to say that FIBA requires us now to have a under 15 league for basketball. We have requested that many years ago.No one in sports authority listened .
Now we excited !that should have been done a long time! ago!

The Dominica State College continue to dominate Secondary School basketball. This seems like a contradiction to me since DSC is NOT a secondary school. They have the best from all secondary schools so are we really very surprised at this ‘dominance???’ How long will this practice persist????

@smh i share your sentiments. These guys should go and play in the second division of the DABA league. What else do you expect from the accumulation of all those talents from the different schools. I think they should revisit that and let those guys in the secondary schools enjoy there basketball because its not a level playing field.

College should play in a higher division. Obviously they have no competition in the high schools’ league. That idea has been idea has been advanced long ago, but never taken on.
