Fifa charges 10 more Caribbean officials; includes Patrick John

President of DFA Patrick John

Fifa’s ethics committee has opened proceedings against 10 more Caribbean football officials, relating to the cash-for-votes scandal.

Four members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) were banned on 14 October.

The officials will have their cases heard in mid-November, world football’s governing body said in a statement.

They have been charged with breaching rules on ethics in the wake of the corruption scandal that saw Mohamed bin Hammam banned for life.

Inocent untill proven guilty. However it is hard for one to believe that Jack who was the main organiser of the bribe distribution did not involve PJ. After all it is well known that before Jack sneezes PJ would catch the cold.. so at this time PJ should try to book Mendes or Tony…

our president said he could not check fifa because of prize giving, because of flight, because he was talking to his lawyer, because he was sending affidavit, because he wanted to know the scope of information they wanted and because he was meeting them in St Marteen. He said he was the only one that was tough on binhamam but he can be seen in the video when the money was discused. you be the judge

our local teams were warned this would happen. They were told it was time for a change. Don was ready to take over and move our football forward. Yet they voted for the same people over and over again. Hope now they learn and give some new people a chance to change things.

I EXPECT MR. JOHN TO BE EXONERATED,HOWEVER, I WISH THE GOVERNMENT WOULD PUT A SIMILAR ETHICS COMMITTEE IN PLACE SO THAT SKERRIT AND THE RED LABOR BOYS COULD SATISFY DOMINICANS THAT THEY ARE ALL CLEAN.

Where is all this coming from? The story is on FIFA/DFA, how did Skerrit reach in this? Why can’t a news item run its course without Skerritt being mentioned?

pick up a dictionary and look up the word ethics and u will understand why his name comes up whenever the word ETHICS is mentioned…

    October 26, 2011

SMDH….ALAS….IF FIFA DIDN’T HAVE AN “ETHICS” COMMITTEE WE WOULD NEVER KNOW. WHAT ELSE “DON’T WE KNOW UH??????? I REALLY WONDER…….BECAUSE WE MUST ADMIT ETHICS IS NOT THAT IMPORTANT TO US.

    October 26, 2011

That sounds like nothing but a witch hunt. What does the ethics committee means by saying “They have been charged with breaching rules on ethics in the wake of the corruption scandal that saw Mohamed bin Hammam banned for life”
Did they get money? Did they had a meeting with Bin Hammam to discuss payment. This is real crap and FIFA needs a complete overhauling. FIFA is corrupt from the Blatter down. Blatter can run but he will soon be exposed.

Hmmm, I guess now PJ have to explain

We knew it all along…there is smoke behind the fire. This guy was too arogant and he was challenging the investigation from the beginning.

They have some confessions to make.

    I watchin’ still!

    • October 26, 2011

If you knew it all along, then why not explain what you know with some detail instead of this broad brush comment. Why are you still watching? What you claim you know is mere perception or speculation to be more exact. I figure you have you have your quams about the personality is PJ

Ok now… If you read the whole story.. I would like to know where did the Money go.. If Mr. John really get Money where did the money go… How comes Customs in DA did not see that.. once his name is mentioned along with numerous other names of the Caribbean… where is the money…? anyone has any feedback…

      October 26, 2011

Can you explain where the money for the DFA elections came from. Suddenly after many years there is money for so many activities includinmg cash grants to football clubs. Money for playing fields. Money for equipment. Money for a swell AGM and opening ceremony for 2011/2012 football season. Money for top bands (Swinging Stars, Groovers, Triple Kay)to play at football activities. Where did all that money come? If the money was handed in brown paper bags, it would be easy to hide that money in baggage in pants pockets and shoes. It is easy to share that monet between the two couriers.

    • yo yo
      November 2, 2011

it is difficult. if he say he got the money customs will want to know how it entered the country, other members of DFA will want to know why it was not put in DFA account and footballers will want to know how was it spent on football development
