Former Fifa vice-president Jack Warner is caught on tape offering ‘gifts’ of £25,000 to Caribbean delegates

Warner

Telegraph Sport has seen the remarkable footage in which Warner, the controversial former vice-president of Fifa, appears to be recorded telling other members of the Caribbean Football Union members they must decide whether to accept the “gifts” of $40,000 (£25,000) each, and urging them to vote for Bin Hammam rather than Sepp Blatter in the Fifa presidential elections.

The recording was made on May 11, the day after the money is alleged to have offered the money in individual brown envelopes, and is being used as evidence at a Fifa hearing this week at which 16 officials from the Caribbean Football Union are accused of violating Fifa’s code of ethics.

P.J has a moral responsibility to fully disclose to the Dominican public, particularly football enthusiasts whether he recieved an envelope containing cash.

Admin, why you edit my comment like that for?

      I said:

“PJ Lie! I watched the full video and saw him 2:00 minutes. into it and much-less at 9:30 minutes into it when PJ stand up with a mic asking Warner if he would be interested in running for presidency!

Ban PJ for life! Well they video-taped you.”

Isn’t that freedom of speech? I want them to ban him, plain and simple.

I saw PJ in the video-tape asking a question about whether Jack Warner would be interested in running for FIFA’s presidency in 2014. The session in which PJ asked the question was an open session for delegates at the Trinidad meeting to comment on the offer that they were supposed to have received the day before by Jack on behjalf of Bin Hamman.Infact Jack was asking them if they are “pious” to go build a church. He asked also for anyone who was uncomfortable with the offer to return the money to Concacaf or some other regional footbal association. the BVI delegate was askingfor the money to come to her FA as she waved her hand as Jack spoke. Granted, I did not hear or do not know whether PJ. accepted the money and on reflection returned the money, but he was there. he participated in the discussion. Jack called him byhis first name “Patrick”. The Video and audio was very clear

The question is though. In the run -up to the DFA elections earlier this year, a lot of money was going around. Money for footballs and other gears, money for playing fields, money to start individual club accounts, money for a lavish refreshment at the AGM. Money and more money. Footballers know very well that before this year Trinidad meeting, money was scarce to come by. Very little incentives for players. Suddenly there was money galore to go around and spend. The FIFA grant was used mainly for salaries and administration. But this year there was a lot of money.

Please do not ask Lennox to investigate. When in 1998, he ravaged the reputation of Pinard Byrne posing as an investigator of truth and honesty just to get at Eugenia and the DFP, he then had admit on aoth in court that he does not have the professional training and expertise to do that kind of work he led the public to believe he was an expert at doing. He is not even a professionaly trained journalist – just experience. But of course the judge was deaqd worng according to Lennox. We are waiting for the “Bubbles Case”. For these reasons and the fact that P.J is an avowed hater of Skerrit, Lennox will close a blind eye on that matter. It is of no political currency for him.

of course thats a pressing issue because you know why, if FIFA bam the DFA like what they did to antigua couple years back, you know the implecation that would have on our youth that plays football?

      1. there will be no organize league in dominica for that period of time
      2. no national team and i say no meaning male , female & unders
3 when the youth have no incentive to play because there will be no competetive league, or they cannot represent their country for the lengh of time fifa band the DFA.
      4. Tell me the implications in will have on our young footballers

who is in charge of officials in the football business???

All officials and games should be suspended until these allegations are clear.

What are the standards that are set for the sustainability of sports?

according to speculations, this seems to be some upset in the secret society where the heads of the lower order will roll while those on top enjoying the last laugh.

Why black people like to find themselves hanging around the grand table for crumbs?

When will these careless men learn?

We must ask the question again. Did PJ bene fit from this largesse also? He has already stated that our football association did not, so did he in person? We have a national team that continues being drubbed by other nations. We even have a splendid football association house named after PJ but where are the results? Where is the Fifa money allocated to Dominica spent if not on the furtherance of our national performance and pride? Can we have full transparency please?
