Goodwill Starz qualify for finals of national basket ball playoffs

Fashion Line Falcons suffered their first loss of the season in the Lime National Basketball Playoffs Division 1 Semi Finals on Monday night.

Falcons went down to Maximum Tigers  who tied the series with final scores 78 points to 65 points. Top Scoring for Tigers were Tony Lee with 32 pts and Heywood Powell 14 pts while Kijuan Thomas 25 pts, Khalin Thomas 16 pts and David Xavier 12 pts were the main contributors to the Falcons’ score.

In game 2, Goodwill Starz out played Paix Bouche Snipers to go up 2 – 0 in the best of 3 series and qualify for the finals of  Division 1.

Final scores: Starz 72 points to Snipers 63 points. Leading the scoring for Starz were Kester Edwards 23 pts, Kelsey Guye 16 pts and Kanaran David 13 pts and for Snipers it was Lenin Paul 23 pts, Lynvor John 16 pts and Hendricks Holsborough 13 pts.

There will be two games on Wednesday.

Game 1 will be the third and final game between Fashion Line Falcons and Maximum Tigers. This series is tied 1-1.

In game 2, Signman X-Men will meet Dr Mac Prowlers for the second time in their three games  series.  X-Men lead the series 1- 0

Games will start from 7.00 pm at the Lindo Park.

    Congrats to starz! Nice to see that starz are in the finals once again.I hope with coach Charles on their bench ,he can help them to pull it off this year.this championship is long overdue and if they listen to the coach ,keep their heads and stick to whatever game plan the coach gives them.I will be popping some champagne .great coaching last nite! welcome back coach!
