The Digicel Grass Roots young cricketers were thrilled on Thursday at Windsor Park Stadium when they were given the opportunity to work with some of the West Indies players like Captain Darren Sammy, Sunil Narine, Krishmar Santokie, Lendl Simmons and Sheldon Cottrel.
The West Indies professionals conducted a number of cricket drills with the young cricketers in batting, bowling and fielding.
Captain of the West Indies team, Darren Sammy, urged the young sportsmen to take their training with their coaches seriously because one day when he is retired he will be looking to see one of them “playing for Dominica, Windwards Islands or the West Indies cricket team.”
The West Indies will play Two T-20 matches in Dominica on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July at Windsor Park Stadium.
