ICC World T20 regional event manager appointed as WICB event manager

St John’s, Antigua – The WICB continues to strengthen its management capacity and has appointed Mrs Cindy McLean to the position of Event Manager.

Mrs. McLean served as the Regional Event Manager and Project Coordinator of the ICC World Twenty20 Tournament 2010.

Her responsibilities included reviewing, overseeing and implementing all plans and programmes for the successful hosting of the tournament.

Previously Mrs. McLean worked extensively throughout the Caribbean as a Change Management Consultant attached to the Caribbean Center for Development Administration. The St Lucian native is also a former Secondary School Principal.

Mrs. McLean is a graduate of the universities of the West Indies, Leicester, Manitoba and Winnipeg and holds a Masters degree in Public Administration.

“This new position provides an opportunity for me to leverage my two passions – Event Management and Change Management – to contribute to the continued transformation of our premier regional sport,” said Mrs McLean.

“The appointment of the Mrs. McLean as the Event Manager improves the capacity of the WICB to deliver all WICB series and tournaments in a more professional and efficient manner commensurate with international standards,” said WICB CEO Dr. Ernest Hilaire.

As Event Manager, Mrs. McLean will take the lead in managing all WICB cricket events including West Indies international series, the Caribbean Twenty20 Tournament and the Calypso Cup among others.
