West Indies endured a long, hard toil, as India captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin plundered batting milestones in the first Seagram’s Royal Stag Cup Test – powered by Karbonn Smart Phones – on Saturday in Antigua.
West Indies ended the second day at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground on 31 for one, replying to the Indians’ first innings total of 566 for eight declared which was built upon Kohli’s even 200, his highest first-class score, and Ashwin’sthird Test hundred against the Windies of 113.
Devendra Bishoo and part-time off-spinner Kraigg Brathwaite were the most successful bowlers for the home team, grabbing three wickets apiece.
